My mother gained her wings today, and a piece of me went with her. I lost my best friend, my protector, my person. My heart is hurting in ways I can’t even explain, but at the same time, I’m at peace knowing she’s finally resting. No more pain. No more suffering. No more worries from this messed up world.

I’m numb. I’m thankful. I’m happy you’re free. All of it at once.
You were my strength when I had none, my comfort on my darkest days, and the real definition of unconditional love.

Rest easy, Queen. Your job here is done.
I love you forever, Mother. Until we meet again. 🕊️💛💛💛 by @barbbee9
