1968 & 1971 in the house 😀🥳🙌🏼🙏

Eric has been consistent with his diet, exercise and healthy lifestyle routine. I’ve been a rollercoaster of ups & down but the downs never get past 130 pounds. That’s my wake up call to do something about it.

This year, we moved to Miami and I’m experiencing a rebirth. The city complements my souls purpose. I feel alive over here so I’ve been dieting, exercising, massages, facials, daily routines that are part of a lifestyle change… no liquor or smoking for me! And we don’t eat fast foods!

At this age, I’ve realized more than ever that we have one body and when it’s gone, our soul moves onto another realm so if we want to stay here with our family & loved one, we have to take care of it.

Also, be weary of your environment because sometimes it’s great for you and sometimes it’s not. Listen to your body and your soul. I ignored it way too long. If you’re not happy where you are… move, literally.

Today, outside the Metropolitan Cathedral in Mexico City, I felt called to step into something I didn’t plan. 🇲🇽✨

Local Indigenous healers were offering traditional spiritual cleansings, and something in me simply said… go.

So I did. 🙏

I allowed myself to receive the smoke, the herbs, the prayers, the sounds, the energy… all of it. No expectations. Just presence, gratitude, and trust.

There is something so beautiful about traveling with an open heart and allowing yourself to experience the traditions, wisdom, and sacred practices of another culture.

Sometimes the most meaningful moments are the ones we never planned. They simply find us. 🤍

Mexico City, thank you for this beautiful moment of cleansing, connection, and remembrance. 🇲🇽✨🙏

A few days late because I’ve been traveling, but I couldn’t let your birthday pass without celebrating you here, my beautiful Princess Taylor. ❤️🎂

This birthday feels especially meaningful because I had the incredible gift of watching you celebrate it on the set of Paranormal Nobodies — a project you have poured your heart, imagination and creativity into for nearly five years.

Watching you take The Haunting of Dylan Klaypool and transform it into the world we are now bringing to life has been almost impossible for me to put into words. To see the characters you have lived with in your mind become real, to hear the words you wrote being spoken, to see the sets and visuals come together, and then to watch YOU step in front of the camera and bring Dylan to life yourself… my heart could burst. ❤️

As your mom, I thought helping make this dream possible would be my gift to you. What I didn’t realize was how much of a gift you would be giving back to me by allowing me to witness it all.

Taylor, I am so incredibly proud of the woman, writer, actress and creator you have become. But beyond all of those things, I am simply proud of you — your heart, your courage, your determination and the beautiful way your mind sees the world.

What a privilege it is to be your mom and to have a front-row seat as your dreams unfold.

30 years ago today, you made me a mother. 🤍

Happy 30th birthday to my beautiful Rhys. Watching you grow from my little girl into the incredible woman, partner, and mother you are today has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

There are some loves that simply cannot be measured in words, and the love a mother has for her daughter is one of them. Through every chapter, every season, every version of you, I have loved you beyond measure—and I always will.

Today we celebrate YOU and the beautiful life you have created. I am so proud of the woman you have become, and I cannot wait to see what this next decade brings you.

I’ve been reading journals I wrote decades ago, and I keep finding things I had completely forgotten—things I did, things that happened, thoughts I had, even ways I once felt.

And I can’t dismiss them because they’re right there, in my own handwriting.

It made me wonder: How much can we really trust our memory of the past?

Maybe memory isn’t a complete archive of our lives. Maybe it’s a collection of moments our present mind has held onto—and those memories become part of the story we tell ourselves about who we are.

And if we keep using that story to create our future, then perhaps changing our future sometimes requires changing our perception of our past.

Not by pretending something didn’t happen. Not by replacing difficult memories with happier ones. But by becoming curious about what else was there that we’ve forgotten.

What other perspectives existed?
What other versions of ourselves existed?
What other lessons did we leave behind?

That’s what these journals are giving me: a more complete picture of myself.

And then I realized something else…

Our journals today may not even look like journals anymore.

They’re the photos and videos on our phones. The voice notes and audio recordings we save. The conversations we have with ChatGPT. The thoughts we speak into Plaud. Even the little videos we create and post.

We’re documenting our lives in real time—almost like creating thousands of tiny movies and podcasts for our future selves.

Maybe someday, the future version of us will find them and say:

I completely forgot I used to think that way.

And perhaps that forgotten perspective will be exactly what we need to hear. ✨

A little sneak peek into the conversations I have with my daughters… 🤍

This morning I was going through an old box of journals when I found something I had completely forgotten about.

In June of 1992, I was reading Secrets About Men Every Woman Should Know by Barbara DeAngelis, a book that I’ve always remembered as having a profound impact on me.

What I didn’t remember was just how deeply I had studied it.

I found several typewritten pages where I had taken passages from the book that meant something to me — almost like creating my own collection of highlights before highlighting became my thing. 😊

But then I found the notebook…

More than 100 handwritten pages filled with my own notes, thoughts and reflections about what I was reading. ❤️

I sat there this morning looking at all of it thinking, I did this? I had absolutely no memory of taking the time to write all of those pages.

The words I’m reading in this video are Barbara DeAngelis’s words — passages that resonated with my 20-year-old self enough that I wanted to type them out and save them.

And there’s something especially beautiful about finding all of this now…

A year and a half later, I met their dad. ❤️

I originally recorded this for my girls this morning, but it felt too special not to share.

Sometimes you stumble upon a little piece of your younger self and realize she was learning, growing and preparing for a life she couldn’t possibly see yet. ✨

Life Lessons from a Puzzle: Trust the Process

Life is a lot like putting together a puzzle.

We may know what the bigger picture looks like, but we don’t always understand where every piece belongs while we’re holding it.

Some pieces come together easily. Others seem completely out of place—until much later, when suddenly we understand exactly why they were there.

And sometimes, we have to stop forcing a piece into a space where it simply doesn’t belong.

Maybe that’s part of trusting life: keeping our eye on the bigger picture while giving our full attention to the piece that’s in front of us.

Where attention goes, energy flows.

We don’t have to understand the entire puzzle to trust that it’s unfolding exactly as it should. 🧩✨
