Probably one of the best sunsets I have seen in my life was on May 19, 2021. I happened to be downtown Bellingham for dinner and when I walked out of the restaurant, I saw this bright orange glow in the bay, so I headed to Cornwall Beach to watch the magic happen. Low and behold, the sky, clouds, and bay lit up in vibrant orange, pink, and purple for a majestic sunset that I will never forget! 🌅

What made it even better was the row of ducks that decided to swim around the bay in unison during this glorious vision. 🦆

I cannot express how full my heart is moving to this beautiful place filled with so much beauty. I enjoyed living in California but Washington state gives me even more joy than I ever thought was possible! 💖 taken in Bellingham, Washington by @barbrocks

I wanted to see Picture Lake and Mount Shuksan with the autumn colors before it got too cold and rainy, so I grabbed my friend Mae and drove up this past Saturday. More from Friday’s incredible sunset after a wet and stormy day! I love that the sky can continue to amaze me every single day and that I get to witness this beauty from the comfort of my house. I never would have expected the stormy day to change so quickly and bless us with a stunner of a sunset. Seeing Lummi, Portage, and Eliza Islands up close was one of the highlights of the @sanjuancruises luncheon cruise I got to enjoy on June 22. Being an ambassador and volunteer for @bellinghamexperience has its perks! I especially loved seeing all the seals and the eagle perched on the tiny rock island, as well as Chuckanut Bay, Mud Bay, and Edgemoore neighborhoods from the water. Seeing Bellingham from a cruise is always wonderful, especially when the weather is perfect, the sky is blue, and Mount Baker stands tall and proud in the background! Thanks to @sanjuancruises and @bellinghamexperience, I got to enjoy this amazing luncheon cruise back on June 22 and it was beyond amazing! Back in June I had the pleasure of enjoying a @sanjuancruises luncheon as we cruised around Bellingham Bay, along the east shorelines of Lummi and Portage Islands, and along Chuckanut Bay, all thanks to @bellinghamexperience Ambassador Program. It turned out to be gorgeous day with blue skies and Mount Baker clearly visible on the horizon! The lunch served was delicious, the crew super nice, and I got to meet some great people and make new connections. What a fabulous way to spend an afternoon! I highly recommend @sanjuancruises and also encourage any locals to join the Ambassador program through the @bellinghamexperience tourism board. 🛳️ taken in Bellingham, Washington by @barbrocks

The rays bursting through the clouds really made last night’s sunset shine (9/12)!
