Not my first wall, but definitely my first floor. And I think this might be my favorite piece yet.

I couldn’t capture the whole thing in a single image, so here are a few pieces of it.

Thank you, Queen One, for the opportunity. It’s been an honor and a pleasure bringing this one to life. ❤️

Sometimes you just have to make the first mark and see where it takes you.

A little Studio Thought on drawing, instinct, and letting the work reveal itself.

When the location is next to a park and the brief says kids, playground, fun…
So I thought, maybe Ice Cream Land? 🍦🍭
Seems about right.

Thank you @washingtonwalls 🙏

I’m not big on baseball. Maybe because I didn’t grow up with it. But I do get what it represents: The rituals. The uniforms. The characters. The beer, hot dogs, and gathering around a game with friends.
You don’t have to love something to respect the culture around it.

I don’t usually plan the shapes or the colors. I just start putting them down and let the picture find its way.
Color doesn’t have to match. It just has to belong together.

Markers are pretty unforgiving.
There’s no erasing, no going back and pretending that line didn’t happen. You have to make the decision and keep moving.
Over time, you learn to trust your hand a little more. And I think that’s one of the best things any medium can teach you.

Colored pencils are one of the most unforgiving mediums to work with. Every mark matters. Every layer takes time. There’s not much room to rush it. But if you learn to really control them, every other medium will feel easier.

I actually went back to add some color and then thought it could also use a few extra guys. Now it’s final 😊
Thank you @createcommunitystudios for making this happen. 🙏
