Thank you to all who came to the @cornerstonestudios_ Open Studios and joined me, Gail Lewis and @foluketaylor for writing and conversation around my new ongoing project 46 Declarations for the Revolution. It was a wonderful session where we also launched the 46 Declarations Oracle Cards. 46 messages, guidance, oracles, writing promptsā€”whatever you needā€”inspired by Audreā€™s Litany for Survival, designed to recover our bodies and voices through the 46 times Diane Abbott stood up in the House of Commons to speak for herself and by the over one hundred contributors to my ongoing Declaration of Independence project. You can use these for daily practice, or in relation to a question. These are available for purchase and your purchase will help to support the process of this project unfolding. The many years of thinking and conversations I have been having with my dear sister friends @foluketaylor and @whaliegooner are gonna be opened up on Thursday when they join me for a conversation and workshop at the open studios @cornerstonestudios_ on Thursday. We will be exploring my new project 46 Declarations for the Revolution through the launch of a set of Oracle Cards inspired by Audre Lordeā€™s Litany for Survival. They will also be for sale alongside some prints and an opportunity to come see the wonderful space and community that I work in. The talk is at 7pm and the workshop at 7.30. Today on the picket me and @susankelly6985 did a reading of Chapter 4 Psychic Militancy from @psychoanalystactivist book From the Clinic to the streets. We discussed the text in relation to our current @goldsmithsucu strike action, thinking about the psychic intrusions that are at play in the dispute and how we can hold the line with an understanding of Psychic Militancy as a tool to ā€œbetter ward off the incursions into our psyche and to ensure we do not stray from our commitments to our revolutionary futures.ā€ P102 by @barby_as

Join us on Friday for the next iteration of Re-Percussions, this time with sounds selected by very special guest, artist and life model, @buitumelo (B.U.I) kotekwa whose practice echoes themes of temporal fracture, nguni cosmology and being a londoner.B.U.Iā€™s session will serve and live as a reminder of the ways blackness is, and the ways we are connected despite location. They invite you to come and listen with space & time in mind while we participate in the undoing of genre.
