Ironman 70.3 - Jones Beach 🏝️ The past few years have been very tough on me physically and mentally. I made plenty of bad choices for myself which led to ruining relationships with others and myself. Relying on terrible coping mechanisms it inevitably made things worse for myself. I began to lose sense of purpose in my life, got very depressed, and genuinely felt no use being around anymore. Training for this race gave me a sense of purpose and allowed me to become the man who I once was and will continue to be. Strengthening my relationship with myself, family, friends, and with god I am so thankful to be able to get back to who I am as a man. This race will forever have a special place in my heart. Between family and friends coming to support me, the amazing people I met along the way during the race, and the amazing staff that help keep the race running all I have to say is thank you. “Once dulled in battle, a knight’s armor refinished, will shine again.” #ironman703 #ironman703finisher #triathlete #jonesbeach by @bardajifit
