MonsterAnd the JulOdyssey continues! For this song, in which Odysseus reflects on his journey’s past and future, I was heavily inspired by the animatic that @giiij__ made! The way that The Monster is pictured there makes the threat of Odysseus’ transformation feel that much more sinister. And of course I can’t not mention how much I love @jayherrans lyrics changing over the course of the solo. Ruthlessness 🌊Time for what might be my favorite song from #epicthemusical and the best build I have for the rest of the JulOdyssey. Just a Man Hey gang, welcome to the beginning of the JulOdyssey! For the rest of this month, to commemorate the new @theodysseymovie, finally reading the story myself, and my love of #epicthemusical over the last year, I’ll be creating content surrounding the epic based on some songs by @jayherrans for EPIC!This first one focuses on Just a Man, where Odysseus is given the choice by Zeus to drop the son of Hector off the wall or to risk the child growing up and avenging his slain father and his fallen city. However, the boy reminds him of his own son, Telemachus, and his heart wavers in the decision. Nasty shit, lemme tell ya. What was nastier was the work ol’ Zariel forced us tieflings to have to do. Ever heard a diabolist known as Sweetheart? No? Good!Soon aftah, some adventuring group had made their way through the Nine and were “doing good”. So Zarrie gave your guy one shot to break his contract. Slay the group’s warlock. Apparently miss “Rose Coreopsis”had a true-love obsessed Unseelie patron who granted her abilities that counteracted the hateful fiends Zariel had in servitude. But ta me? She was like a dream come true. I mean, you all know the stories. Enemies to rivals, frienemies to lovers, and so on and such. Some real saucy stuff.Rose and co. freed the souls of us Elturians and after fleeing the hells, we finally had some peace. I don’t got the infernal magics no more, so now I study the fabric of the universe via various arcane equipments that uh…fall off of carriages *wink*. And if I make some cash on the sly? Fuggedaboudit! The now Mrs. Rose Zilch sticks with her adventuring band. Savin’ the realm, being a hero, doing what she can. I love her.But…somethin’s wrong.
