The true art of makeup isn’t knowing what to add—it’s knowing when to stop. As a bridal makeup artist, my goal is never to cover you up. It’s to enhance, balance, and create a look that feels timeless, photographs beautifully, and still feels like you. Sometimes the most important product in my kit is restraint. #BridalMakeup #MakeupArtist #BridalBeauty #SoftGlam #Calgarymakeupartist by @barebeauty___
a sneak peek at the end of a bridal makeup application! I always ask a few questions and point out the slight changes we made from the trial so the bride can pin point exactly what might be different. The key here is asking if they want anything changed or adjusted, it’s so important to check in and make sure they feel heard and feel their best before leaving the chair! by @barebeauty___
A wedding reception dinner of our dreams. Abundant florals, rich textures and endless candlelight set the scene for a dramatic atmosphere. This one was so special to us! “I don’t want natural, I want soft glam.” I love when a bride knows exactly what she wants! ToniAnn was travelling from the US, and with no time for a trial, communication was everything. Throughout the process, we checked in lots to make sure we were on the same page and that her vision was clear. Your bridal makeup should always feel like a collaboration between you and your artist. I want to know what you LOVE, what you don’t love, and all the little details in between. The more we communicate, the more confident you can feel walking into your wedding morning. It was such a pleasure doing ToniAnn’s makeup. She was surrounded by so much love that morning, and her kindness and calm energy were felt by everyone in the room. The sweetest reminder that the getting-ready moments are just as special as the ones that follow. Wishing you all the very best, ToniAnn! 🥂🤍 Hair by: @beautyby.emmascott by @barebeauty___
Would you believe that this was our first wedding at Silvertip in our 9 years of producing weddings in the Rockies? We filled the room with blue accents, an ode to the couples home on the East Coast and of course had to include their sweet pup 🐶 Planning & Design: @momentsbymadeleineyyc Photography: @brooklyncphoto Content Creator: @content_bychani Florals: @hawthornplains Rentals: @modernrentals.ca Venue: @silvertipresort DJ: @localdj Photo Booth: @flashcobooth Lighting: Silver Moon Productions Hair & Makeup: @barebeauty___ Transportation: @patagoniachauffeurservices Cake: @prettysweetyyc Stationery: @paperocelot by @barebeauty___
Annie + Trent / St. Mary’s Cathedral + Fairmont Palliser Some weddings are especially beautiful. Some wedding are especially sentimental. Some weddings have an atmosphere you can feel the second you walk into the room. Some weddings have it all. This was one of them. Annie and Trent’s wedding at the Fairmont Palliser was very much the latter. Lynn Fletcher @lynnfletcherweddings created a setting where absolutely nothing felt overlooked. The design was refined, the lighting completely transformed the room, and once Famous Players @famous_players_band took the stage, the reception became something else entirely. The all-star band brought an incredible amount of energy to the room, with a dance floor that felt more like a high-end nightclub than a wedding reception. Annie and Trent came to Calgary from Oklahoma City, with family ties making the city an especially meaningful place to celebrate. The Calgary caps for the guests were such a fun nod to the city, and seeing everyone wearing them on the dance floor was one of my favourite moments (scroll to the end for dance floor pics). Still one of my favourites. Somehow a year late. This is what you can expect from me on your wedding morning. I look back at my detailed notes from your trial, remember what we discussed, and ask you specific questions about how you’re feeling about the look now that the big day is here. Then we make any little tweaks we need to — whether that’s adjusting the placement, adding different skin prep, softening something, adding a little more definition, or changing something I think will photograph even better on the day. It’s the little details and attention to you that make the final result feel just right. And then… the finished look. Beautiful, effortless and completely you. ✨ Shoutout to the vendor team for the day!!
