Delighted to be back in the routine but looking back at a really amazing half term break with the boys 🇬🇧

Yep, hiring a Land Rover definitely helped break things up a bit - but we also kept things really simple.

Dog walks, beach time, trips to @squareandcompasspub , games of uno - and the last slide - speaks for itself 🥂

Much needed nature and simple life in a wild world 💕

As usual on a family trip, I have 6 million photos of the kids, my husband and the dog - and just a handful of me, mostly taken by me 📸

But I wanted to document the fact that I slept in a Land Rover at the end of October 😂❄️

Making coffee in the back on the little gas stove was possibly my favourite thing, on a par with arriving @carvecoffeeroasters and having a second one of the day to properly fuel me ☕️

Well that was a unique adventure….. and yet another example of what my way more adventurous than me husband achieves when deciding to book something fun for the kids 🛞🇬🇧

Hired a @landrover Defender because the boys have been obsessed with them for years. Double “bed” in the back, and a pop up roof with two hammock style ones for the boys. I lasted 1 night, they did 3 😂

Absolutely loved being tourists here in Dorset though - so fun to drive around, picnic at the beach and make coffee after swims, camp in stunning spots, & spend hours and hours outdoors 🇬🇧

Total honour to have been asked onto the brilliant @thevillagebystylist podcast Baby On The Brain - hosted by @mirandalarbi & @digitaleditor_felicity 🎙️

We covered alot of ground in a very short amount of time - including how I don’t want to add to anyone’s to do lists, I simply want mums to place themselves higher up the pile - every single day 🙏🏻

I also referenced @emmabarnett and her brilliant analogy of “DJing her hormones” - and how I often use this when I speak to mums about the juggle (much prefer this word over “balance”) and how dialling up or down different areas of life when needed can be so helpful ⚖️

October was a big month for podcasts & interviews so more incoming ✨

It’s almost the middle of half term (which started off with an inset day last Thursday 🫠) and it’s been non stop despite storms and wind and fallen trees galore

The most brilliant restaurant @ruths.london which I’m convinced I’m about to see when opening the weekend papers sometime soon - it needs to be known about, but then I also think it’s a total hidden gem ✨

Never have I felt more welcomed in a very cool environment- gorgeous staff, amazing menu, great wines, total neighbourhood feel - loved it 🇬🇧

Worth another trip to London just to eat there again, and been dreaming of their focaccia bread all day today as rain pours down 💕

From misty early morning sunrises 🌅

To warm mid day trips to the beach where we’ve all swam (kids and dog included) 🌊

Via fancy race horses having broken free from their homes and hanging out on the road in front of us 🐎

Dorset, you continue to delight 🇬🇧

🇬🇧 Soaking up Dorset in September - and a weekend which I thought was fairly clear then remembered we’d promised the 6 year old his delayed birthday party….

🍰Cake requirements were as before - he wanted a circular lemon cake, with chocolate fingers stuck in like a hedgehog and a kitkat balanced on top 😂

☕️Other than a wild afternoon with 6 kids yesterday we’ve also managed @thedancinggoat coffee, sea swims with @kmcdonagh2 and dog walks with pasty stop @squareandcompasspub ✨

Back into the Dorset days after the wonderful wedding weekend 🇬🇧

Loving the lack of people and traffic (and intense heat) whilst moving around & getting out to the sea as much as possible 🌊

Dog happy eating cow poo on every walk 🫠 and we were very happy eating pasties @squareandcompasspub too 🥟

After a 1.30am wake up on Friday morning, we were next to the pool drinking rosé from the next door vineyard by lunchtime

💕So good to get some proper time out after the lonnnng summer holidays and with a last little blitz of sunshine before the autumn months

@williameaves @spicey9814 thanks for giving us the best excuse to fly to Puglia and party with you and celebrate life and love ✨
