20 years of loving you.
9 years of holy matrimony.
And somehow, we’re still becoming.

Today, my husband and I celebrate 9 years of choosing, committing, and covenant with one another.

But these last 5 years? Whew. We’ve allowed ourselves to lean into new depths with each other—to be more honest, more vulnerable, more intentional. To learn each other again. To undo some things. Heal some things. Laugh through some things. Forgive some things. And keep choosing us through all of it.

Baby, I’m soooo grateful I get to do this life with you.

Cheers to 9 years of marriage and 20 years of us—courtship, baby-making 😂, raising these babies, bills on BILLS, mistakes, hard conversations, belly laughs, learning, unlearning, growing, dreaming, forgiving, becoming…and choosing the best version of us over and over again.

Not a perfect love story.
A lived-in one.
A prayed-over one.
A growing one.
A love we keep choosing.

And I’d choose you again. 🤎

Happy Anniversary, baby. I declare that we are standing in what is the GOOD part.

I thought I was going to the laundromat alone this morning.

Our washer is waiting on a repair, but a family of four still needs clean clothes.

Without me asking, my husband came anyway.

Marriage isn’t built on vacations, anniversaries, or grand gestures alone. It’s built in the everyday moments—broken appliances, early mornings, shared responsibilities, and choosing each other when no one is watching.

This morning reminded me that some of life’s sweetest memories are made in the most ordinary places.

Sometimes love sounds like the hum of washing machines and looks like someone simply saying, “You don’t have to do this alone.” 🤍

From exploring Pigeon Island to soaking in the mineral-rich mud baths in Soufrière and horseback riding in Gros Islet… this side of the island was unforgettable.

If you visit #SaintLucia, the mud baths are a must at least once. And next time, I can’t wait to explore even more of the island’s south. 💛

Day 1: We were all praying. 😂🙏🏾

No guardrails. Mountain roads. Driving on the left. Hairpin turns. A van behind us wondering why we were going 12 mph. 😅 #StLucia #FamilyTravel

By Day 3, my husband was driving like a darn local. 🇱🇨😂 I went from gripping the door handle around every curve to safely drifting off to sleep in the passenger seat. 😴😂 #CaribbeanTravel #RoadTrip

St. Lucia Photo Dump | Part I 🇱🇨

I came for the beaches and views—but left with something deeper.

This trip was about family.

Mike reconnected with his older brother, we celebrated his dad’s 25th wedding anniversary, and we watched Mom come alive—rooted in the land, the rhythm, the people who shaped her. Seeing my husband return to that part of himself felt like a quiet gift.

Before we arrived, my sister @stepin2purpose taught me the word liming—being together with no agenda. Sun-warmed conversations, shared meals, laughter drifting into the evening… just being.

Truthfully, I already knew I needed that kind of stillness. With everything leading up to the trip, I was keenly aware of how much I needed to slow down.

It reminded me that the heart of travel isn’t in the itinerary, but in the moments that make a place feel like home.

More than a #FamilyTravel trip, it became a lesson in #SlowLiving, #IntentionalLiving, and embracing #IslandLife.

Today, my baby crossed another milestone.

8th Grade Graduate. 🎓

I’ve watched you grow from a curious little boy into a thoughtful, intelligent, funny, strong, and compassionate young man. You have never been one to simply follow the crowd. You’ve always had your own mind, your own style, and your own way of seeing the world.

Looking through these photos, I’m reminded that no one reaches a milestone alone. Behind every graduate is a village of family, friends, teachers, mentors, and people who have loved, encouraged, corrected, and prayed for them along the way.

But what many don’t always see are the quiet victories—the growth, the discipline, and the determination that happens behind the scenes. As your parents, we’ve had the privilege of witnessing those moments. I’ve seen you do the hard work of humility, admitting when you don’t understand and being willing to accept help. I’ve seen you rise to the occasion, presenting your capstone like a champion. I’ve seen your leadership, your passion, and your genuine care for the game of basketball—not just in words, but in how you show up on the court.

Isaiah, I am so proud of the young man you are becoming. More than your accomplishments, I admire your heart. My prayer is that you continue to grow in wisdom, confidence, and faith, trusting God with every step ahead.

Middle school is complete.
High school is next.

And baby, the world is waiting for you.

Happy 17th Birthday to my Poppa, my Christian Michael. ❤️

Seventeen years ago, you made me a mama, and what an honor it has been to watch you grow into the young man you are becoming.

You are kind, thoughtful, funny, determined, and stronger than you know. This year alone I’ve watched you step into new levels of responsibility, independence, and confidence. I’m so proud of the way you continue to grow.

No matter how tall you get or how grown you think you are, you’ll always be my baby first. My greatest joy has been cheering you on through every season of your life.

My prayer is that you continue to seek God, walk boldly in your purpose, and trust the plans He has for you.

For years, training was something I carried on my own. Different gyms. Different goals. Different seasons. Training became a space where I challenged myself, processed life, and learned what I was capable of. It was deeply personal.

Lately, I’ve been realizing that God wasn’t asking me to lay down training. He was asking me to loosen my grip on how I thought it had to look. So in this season, Mike and I have decided to step into it together.

Not perfectly. Not with all the answers. Not knowing exactly what our gym home will be or what this journey will become.
Just willing to show up. What I didn’t expect was how vulnerable it would feel. There is a different kind of accountability that comes when someone you love gets a front row seat to the process. The wins, the struggles, the discipline, the excuses, the growth.

And honestly, I think that’s part of the gift. This feels like more than fitness. It feels like another opportunity to choose partnership. To be seen. To grow. To steward our health and our future together. by @barelyonschedule

8 years married. 18 years dating. 💍💙
We made a decision: one intentional date a month. Not just to love each other, but to keep liking each other too. And that matters—it’s not to be taken lightly.

This trip to @postcardcabins in Moodus, CT was another step in our rhythm. No kids, no pets. Just us, some laughs, and the card game “Let’s Get Deep.” The sexy questions, yes—but also the real, not-so-sexy ones that keep us grounded.

Because marriage is about friendship as much as romance. And we’re grateful that after all these years… we really do still like each other. 🥂

Yesterday, 8.31.25 my husband, @_mikewilfred_ celebrated 8 years of marriage. ✨

The number 8 in the Bible represents new beginnings—resurrection, renewal, and God doing a fresh thing. As we sat together reflecting last night, we both felt it: this season of our marriage feels like stepping into something new. Not because the past doesn’t matter, but because God has been faithful to carry us through it and make us stronger.

From undergrad days to raising two incredible sons, from hard decisions to belly laughs, we’ve walked through highs and lows and still choose each other—every time. Mike, you are my best friend, my partner, and living proof of God’s love toward me. 🕊️

8 years in, nothing is perfect—but His love is perfecting us (1 John 4:12). And now, stepping into year 8, we declare that our marriage is more than just love—it’s ministry, it’s testimony, it’s grace upon grace.

I never thought I’d be a dog mama or a lover of pits but, Gracie stole my heart and has changed my mind in so many ways. Our boys absolutely adore her 🫶🏾 and take such great care of her.

We received her at 9 weeks old and this melanated cutie has grown!!!

Also, she runs on treats, zoomies, and sheer pit-lab power.
