DRUM MAKING • TEACHINGS • CEREMONY

Join us for a full day of learning, creating and gathering together with Aline LaFlamme of Good Medicine Consulting.

📅 September 12th
⏰ 10 AM–5 PM
📍 Vancouver — exact location to be announced
💫 $275 per person

Please sign up to show your interest. You will be contacted with more information as details are confirmed.

Aline LaFlamme is a Métis grandmother, pipe carrier, Sundancer, drum maker, singer, traditional healer, therapist and workshop facilitator. She is the founder and past Executive Director of the Aboriginal Front Door Society, located in Vancouver’s Downtown East Side, and a founding member of the Daughters of the Drum.

Aline will guide us through the sacred medicine and traditional ways of drum making and ceremony, sharing teachings alongside the hands-on process of creating your own drum.

Together, we will work with a 14” hoop and elk hide, learning the techniques of sewing and binding and creating our own drum stick.

With the additional time, we’ll have the opportunity to slow down, learn, connect and gather together throughout the day before closing with ceremony and drum awakening.

🥁 Each participant will leave with:
• A 14” handmade elk hide drum
• A handmade drum stick
• Knowledge of the traditional drum-making process
• Teachings shared throughout the day
• An experience of gathering, ceremony and connection

We ask that each participant bring a small dish of food that is special to you as an offering to share with the group.

This is an intimate opportunity to come together, work with our hands, learn from Aline, and experience the process of bringing a drum to life.

This season, let’s call it like it is: big retailers use shock-value discounts to create chaos, push urgency, and pull you into buying things that were never on your list. Small businesses don’t run on inflated prices or manufactured hype — we run on honesty, real costs, and real community.

To say thank you for supporting local, I’m offering 15% off site-wide until December 1st with code FBF15.
(Yep — it stands for exactly what you think.)

🛍️ Or come see us in person at Kingfisher Market + Roots & Wings Distillery on November 29th.

Choose intention. Support small.
Be a real rebel.
