Selling this great 147k Mark VI Varitone tenor. I overhauled this myself when I was working at @meridianwinds and it's playing great! The horn has about 80% original lacquer, original neck (bare brass), no body damage and all of the cool tubing from its days as a Varitone.

I played it on my last record, "Dear Emily," have a listen!

It's a one-of-a kind horn and I'm asking $7,000 but please let's chat if you're interested! by @bari__potter

It is a somewhat intimidating experience to set music to timeless poetry and present it to others...how will the audience react? Have I misunderstood the meanings of the poetry? Are my melodies strong enough? Will I sound silly reading Emily Dickinson aloud to a room full of strangers?

If I understand anything about art, ultimately, those concerns don't really matter. This is what I heard in these poems and what I have to share! To quote another great poet:

"I myself write one or two indicative words...
...leaving it to you to prove and define it"

It was an absolute honor and a joy to present "Dear Emily," to my hometown crowd at @mickeysblackbox yesterday afternoon! Thank you to Chris, Kaz, and Austin for learning so much music so quickly and making it a wonderful experience for everyone who attended. by @bari__potter

A quick taste of the great sound this old Holton can dish out! Always a pleasure to play this pretty horn!

Today I am proud to announce that the title track from my upcoming record has been released on all streaming services in celebration of Emily Dickinson's birthday!

I'd like to thank @emilydickinson.museum @artscouncilgl @randynapoleonmusic @rufusfergusonmusic @javierbass6 @dthreemusic @jimalfredson and @l.brumbach.art for their incredible skills, time and effort putting this project together!

I truly hope this music brings as much joy to you as the poetry that inspired it brought to me! Links in description. by @bari__potter

A beautiful melody is always worth playing loooow and sloooow... especially if it's a million degrees outside and your gig was cancelled 😜

Thanks for the wonderful inspiration, @iamjonguerra 🐦
