Meet Atlas!

Atlas is a 6-month-old Aussie/Border Collie mix with enough energy to power the whole house!

This boy is VERY active, very playful, and definitely a work in progress! He’s mouthy, plays rough with other dogs, and needs someone who is ready to put some time into training and teaching him good manners.

You will love the ears, they stand up and curl in. Hilarious when he is on alert!

Atlas needs an active family who will keep his busy brain and body entertained. He would do best with people who enjoy hiking, running, playing and having an energetic dog by their side.

Because he’s still learning how to behave, no children under 10 at this time. With proper obedience training and maturity, he may be able to be around younger children in the future.

Atlas isn’t looking for a couch-potato home — he’s looking for an active family ready for an adventure!

Meet Phoenix aka Nix, a large, adult Labrador Retriever and Great Pyrenees mix…

Phoenix is a big, sweet, loyal lovebug who truly just wants to be close to his people. He’s incredibly affectionate, attentive, and always looking for love and reassurance. With his Lab and Great Pyrenees background, he really is the best of both worlds, a gentle giant with a loving, people-focused personality. Add in his obedience training and that he is house and kennel trained, he is sure to be an incredible pet.

In his previous life, Phoenix had a reputation for wandering and was often on the loose. Since coming into rescue and getting neutered, he has shown just how much he wants stability and connection. Now, he will paw at the door to come back inside after only a few minutes because what he really wants is to be right where he belongs, with you.

Phoenix is a well-rounded, easy companion. He walks nicely on leash, does well in the car, and is comfortable in public settings. He is very handler-focused, non-reactive, and friendly with everyone he meets. He happily approaches people for pets and truly enjoys attention.

He takes treats very gently and has a calm, soft way about him. More than anything, Phoenix just wants to be next to you, soaking up attention and being part of whatever you are doing.

He does great with both large and small dogs and has adapted well to city life. Phoenix is eager to learn and eager to please. He already knows several commands including sit, shake, down, spin, and turn. He is highly motivated, especially when a Kong is involved, and would thrive in a home that enjoys engaging with their dog.

Phoenix is the kind of dog who wants to be your shadow. Wherever you are, that is where he wants to be too. He would do best in a home looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who wants to include him in everyday life.

It's RED FRIDAY!! ❤️💛

Star doesn't want to brag but since giving Almost Andy Reid the play the Chiefs have won. Now its her time to shine!

Just look at that MASK! Star is a 10-month-old Aussie/Spaniel mix who is as cute as she is fun!

Also Star is a KC Chiefs fan and got to meet “Almost Andy Reid” and he gave his seal of approval.

Star is a professional yard-romoer, playtime enthusiast, and full-time cutie! She loves running, playing and wrestling with her dog friends, but she can also be happy as your one-and-only as long as she gets plenty of attention and fun.

She’s young, happy, playful and ready to bring some Star power into her forever home!

Meet Kate!

Kate is a beautiful 6 year old Bluetick Coonhound who is learning that life can be soft, safe, and full of love.

Before coming into rescue, Kate lived on a farm with seven other hounds, all tethered outside. One by one, the other dogs made it off the property, and Kate was the very last one left behind. Now its finally her turn to discover what it means to be a spoiled house dog.

And honestly? Shes taking to the delicate life pretty well.

Kate is incredibly sweet, silly, and absolutely loves people. One of the cutest things about her is that she SMILES! When shes happy or excited, shell flash you the goofiest little hound smile, and it is impossible not to smile right back.

Shes treat motivated and eager to please, which has made helping her adjust to indoor life so much fun. She is kennel trained, rides great in the car, and does well with other dogs.

Kate would do best in a home without cats, as she is definitely still a hound at heart and is not cat friendly.

After spending so many years living outside on a tether, Kate deserves the good stuff now. A comfy bed. Car rides. Treats. Adventures. People who adore her. Maybe even her own spot on the couch.

She doesnt need anything fancy. She just needs someone willing to show her how good the rest of her life can be.

Kate is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

She waited until the very end to get her chance. Now wed love to make sure she never has to wait for a family again.

Meet Derek, Annie, & Waffles!
✨ I created this trio as a piece for an auction for @barkindogsrescue ! I'm thrilled that I got to make this for @katesdogpack ! ✨

The Pack:
Derek — 5
His person's soul dog and former foster fail. Derek spent a year convincing his person what he knew immediately- that he belonged in her home permanently. He has thanked her for recognizing this fact by being by her side 24/7 AND a certified fashionisto. 🐾

Annie — 11
The QUEEN BEE. Her way or the highway. Annie is an independent queen who makes herself heard. She would trade her person for a piece of cardboard that vaguely smells like chicken and has never worked a day in her life. One of her favorite treats is the occasional cicada. We love a queen who knows what she wants! 👑

Waffles — 9
There’s always one perfect child in the family, and that’s Waffles. Just happy to be here, down for anything, and somehow tolerates everyone else. He is the glue holding this circus together. 🎪

DRACO — A AUSSIE RED-TRI WITH A TAIL!

Meet Draco! This handsome almost 2-year-old Red Tri Aussie is proof that good looks, a wagging tail, and LOTS of energy can come in one package!

Draco LOVES to play with his dog friends and would be thrilled to have a canine buddy in his new home. He’s an active boy who needs a family ready for adventures, playtime, walks, and keeping that busy Aussie brain entertained!

Draco is still working on his manners and tends to get a little TOO excited when meeting people — hello, jumping! Some good obedience training will help him learn that four paws belong on the floor. Because of his enthusiasm, no young children, please.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, energetic Aussie to keep you moving and smiling, Draco might just be your guy!

🫐 MEET BLUEBERRY 🫐

Blueberry—aka Blue or Blue Blue—is a neutered male born 11/1/24 with LOTS of personality and a family who loves him deeply.

Blue has been with his owner since he was just 6 weeks old and has been by her side through some of life’s hardest moments. Rehoming him is an incredibly difficult decision, made because she wants Blue to have the adult-only home where he can truly thrive. ❤️

Blue is quirky, funny and full of character. He LOVES water—baths, sprinklers, you name it! He watches TV (especially dogs), jumps at the hair dryer for fun, loves toys and believes removing their stuffing is an important job. 😂 He’s food motivated, housebroken, uses a dog door and sleeps on his owner’s pillow after using his ramp to get into bed.

He’s also a professional shadow who wants to be wherever his person is.

Blue currently lives with a Rottweiler, Golden Retriever and another Frenchie and enjoys playing with them. However, he can struggle to recognize when another dog has had enough and can be territorial about resources, so his family should be comfortable managing those interactions and continuing to work on boundaries.

Blue’s future family also needs to understand his handling needs. He can become overwhelmed when cornered, trapped, unexpectedly restrained or pushed away. He has bitten his owner’s grandchild after the child grabbed his foot.

Because of this history, Blue needs an ADULT-ONLY home with someone who understands canine body language, respects his space and will use cooperative handling rather than forcing interactions.

Blue may also bolt through an open door, so secure doors/gates and careful management are important.

Underneath his quirks is a dog who has spent his whole life being someone’s best friend. His owner’s greatest wish is to find someone who will understand him, work with him and love him just as fiercely in his next chapter. 💙

🐾 MEET BUDDY! 🐾

Buddy is a 1–2-year-old, 65-lb farm dog mix who is equal parts gentle giant, playful goofball, and professional shadow. ❤️

If you’re looking for a dog who believes personal space is highly overrated, Buddy may be your guy! He’s incredibly loving and snuggly and wants to be wherever his people are. He’ll use you as a pillow, nudge you when the pets stop too soon, and happily accept unlimited belly rubs.

Buddy is pretty quiet overall, although he does have an impressive deep bark. He may bark when meeting someone new while he figures you out, but give him a little time and soon he’ll be following you from room to room.

🐶 Other dogs? YES! Buddy quickly made a best friend in his foster home. They chase, wrestle, zoom around the yard, then settle down to snuggle. He also reads other dogs well and respects their boundaries.

🎾 He loves balls and rope toys and will happily bring you his treasures. He also has a hilarious habit of carrying his foster’s shoes from room to room just so he can lie beside them. 😂 He isn’t destructive, but he is still a young dog with some puppy curiosity—currently learning that kitchen counters are NOT a buffet!

🏡 Buddy is house trained and learned his foster home’s routine quickly. He even figured out the screen doggy door!

🚗 He rides well in the car, is smart, learns quickly, and has adapted beautifully to foster life.

At bedtime, he’ll join you for snuggles before eventually deciding the cool floor is the superior sleeping arrangement.

Buddy is affectionate, goofy, playful, and happiest when he has people and dog friends nearby. He’s ready to find a family to shadow, snuggle, and make laugh. ❤️

Update on Mr. Misu 💛

Hi everyone, Misu's foster mom here.

Misu had a breakthrough cluster seizure event today. "Breakthrough" means that even though he's on medication, he still seized — this time for 5 minutes straight, followed by several more seizures. A seizure lasting over 2 minutes is considered an emergency, and back-to-back seizures like this are called a cluster event.

Misu was rushed to the ER, where he's now stable.

Meet Chip, a 6-month-old Shepherd mix with a great smile and an even better disposition.

Chip has already had a few challenges in his short life. Despite being completely innocent, he found himself on death row before Barkin Dogs Rescue stepped in and took a chance on him. Since then, he has absolutely thrived.

In true Shepherd fashion, Chip wants to be as close to his people as possible and will happily follow you anywhere. If he can’t fit in your lap, he’s perfectly content sitting right beside you on the couch. The Chipster really just wants to love and be loved.

Chip is currently taking classes at Zoom Room on Metcalf and is doing amazing. He’s become a little obedience star and loves learning. He’s smart, eager to please, and picking up new skills quickly.

He is incredibly friendly, does great with dogs and cats, and is crate trained at night. He’s the kind of dog who genuinely enjoys being with his people and is happiest when he gets to be part of whatever you’re doing.

Chip is an all-around great dog who is going to make someone an incredibly devoted companion.

Have you ever wanted a Border Collie but weren't ready to commit to non-stop energy? Meet Quinn…she might just be your perfect match.

Quinn is 9 years old, but you'd honestly never guess it. She still loves a good long walk and a solid game of fetch, but she's just as happy curling up beside you for a lazy afternoon. Whatever you're doing, she wants to be part of it ,she's your shadow, your co-pilot, your reason to slow down and enjoy the little things.

Quinn's a bit of a grump when it comes to pushy, pestering dogs (relatable, honestly), but she's proven she can coexist peacefully with calm, neutral dogs and even a cat. She knows what she likes, and what she likes is peace and quiet company.

Quinn's story hasn't been easy. She ended up in a shelter at 9 years old, facing euthanasia through no fault of her own. She's given so much of her life already, now she just needs someone to give her a soft, safe place to land for the rest of it.

Meet Dove!

Dove is a 5-year-old Labradoodle who came into our rescue with her Australian Shepherd friend. I know how difficult it can be to find one home willing to adopt two dogs together, so we are going to give these two girls the opportunity to find their own families.

Dove is a very active, fun-loving girl who needs a family that wants to keep her busy! She loves puzzle toys and enjoys having things to keep her mind working, but she also needs plenty of room to run, romp, and burn off some energy.

Because of her activity level, Dove will need a securely fenced yard and a family who enjoys an active lifestyle and wants to include her in their adventures.

We have not tested Dove with children or cats, so that is unknown at this time.
