Freyja is an absolute character to catch at Sprintdog, I've started calling her The Bitey Bitch, you can probably see why! She loves the chase so much she's protesting to want another go 🤣

Was a lovely night last night, Freyja is getting back to her usual speeds since I recovered fully from my broken foot and have been able to get her out and about again.

Po also got himself a nice personal best last night too! So proud of them both ❤️

Thank you Penny and Chris for the videos and to the committee for helping run the events over the weekend

Po is killing it! On Saturday, Po has now earned enough points to attain his Sprintdog title and can now be known as

✨️𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗗 𝗝𝗖. 𝗦𝗣𝗥𝗗✨️

Also got Freyja in for the photo too, as we picked up her title ribbon the same night following attaining her Master title the other week, so I didn't want her to miss out on a photo. Even though it was announced a little bit ago, she is now

✨️𝗖𝗵. 𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗡 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗖. 𝗦𝗣𝗥𝗗.𝗠✨️

Thank you to DogsQLD for quickly processing our title applications, as well as the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club and their volunteers for running Sprintdog on Saturday. Was a lovely night and was so nice to catch up with some lovely people I haven't seen for a while ❤️

Photo is by dad, I think he did a wonderful job 😉

It was quite a warm weekend but am still so proud of my youngesters. We ventured out to Durack for the Hound Club of QLD's championship specialty show, where

🧡 Freyja 🧡
'𝗖𝗵. 𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗡 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗖. 𝗦𝗣𝗥𝗗.𝗠'
&
🐼 Po 🐼
'𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗗 𝗝𝗖. 𝗡.𝗦𝗣𝗥𝗗'
Were awarded
✨️️🥈2nd in Brace Sweepstakes🥈✨️
Under judge Miss Anita Henderson (NZ)
Out of an entry of 5 lovely hound braces

After being asked to help handle at the Hound Club, I decided last minute to enter the brace sweepstakes. For those of you familiar with basenjis, getting them to do as they're told isn't always an easy feat 🤣

We trained all week, getting pointers from friends and family on improving our technique. It may not have been perfect but I am so proud of both Freyja and Po for giving it a fair go. I certainly missed having Freyja on the end of the lead, so was nice to bring her back out again.

Additionally, I had the opportunity to show quite a few other exhibits in both the Hound Club specialty and the FCI show to various successes, so I want to thank everyone who entrusted me with the opportunity to pilot their dogs over the weekend. Another thank you to our judge, who was kind enough to compliment me on my handling ability. Some days I can still be quite unsure of myself, especially since I haven't been showing and exhibiting long so this certainly meant a lot to hear ❤️

Was such a lovely weekend to share with the lovely exhibitors of group 4, thank you everyone for your company

It was a weekend of monochrome out at the Beaudesert Kennel Club on Saturday. It may have been hot but our two youngsters did their best to battle the unseasonal Spring weather to perform at their best.

Under judge Ms Janet McGregor (QLD)
Was awarded
🎉✨️️Best Junior in Group✨️🎉

Additionally, our little border collie baby turned 6 months old on Saturday, so was out of baby puppy and with the big kids

Under judge Mrs Bronwen Dickson (QLD)
Was awarded
✨️️Best of Breed✨️
Gaining her first points towards her championship!

A huge thank you to our judges and the committee for running the show through the scorching weather and another huge thank you to Bernadette and Jocelyn for helping guide me on presenting Caoimhe to her best.

Grandma was with us and watching for the day too, as I wore the necklace her ashes reside in. I hope that we made her proud ❤️

"𝙋𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙙... 𝙂𝙤𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮 '𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙄'𝙢 𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙙" 🍍

The kind of thing one gets up to when bored, is edit your dogs onto the album covers of your favourite bands and songs. This is 'Pork Soda' by Glass Animals.

Would it be Pork Freyja or Freyja Soda?

Now that it's official, we're excited to announce that Po has earned his first title. Earning enough points, Mr 'All Po No Go' (dubbed by Nic Mather) has achieved the title of SPRINTDOG NOVICE!

He can now be known as ✨️𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗗 𝗡.𝗦𝗣𝗥𝗗✨️

Now that Po has gotten the hang of the game, he's passing that finish line a lot quicker than his older sister, though he certainly needed her guidance to gain the confidence to give it a go (Freyja still loves her trash bunnies just a teensy bit more though)

Thank you to all those that have released him when dad hasn't been able to be present, I certainly appreciate all the help that we have received.

Another big thank you to the committees and volunteers that work tirelessly to make these events possible ❤️
