Happy 2nd Birthday Buzz!❤️•It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost two years since we brought you home! You were such a tiny and scared little guy who was always hungry, wobbly on his feet, and seemed so surprised by the concept of being gentle and loving. That all changed so fast! Within your first month you more than doubled in size, I taught you that you would always have food available, and you learned the simple comforts family could bring. I can’t believe just how big you’ve grown and how much you’re still growing even today! •You were the missing piece we all needed, including Barley. You have challenged him, comforted him, and been the extra energy boost he needed to keep him on his toes. You are the most loving and affectionate, smart, and endlessly clumsy puppy. These past months have been some of the hardest I have ever walked through. Constant physical pain, long nights without answers, and two hospitalizations in seven months have tested me in ways I never expected. There were days I felt discouraged and worn thin, and nights when the weight of it all felt incredibly heavy.•After Thanksgiving passed, I found myself thinking about the kind of gratitude that grows in the middle of hardship. Not because the struggle fades, but because God stays steady when everything else feels unsteady. I am thankful for His strength on the days I could not find my own, for His presence in every appointment and every unknown, and for the quiet reminders that I am never walking this road alone.•And I am especially thankful for Barley, my good boy and true superhero, who has stayed right by my side through every painful moment. His steadiness, loyalty, and comfort have been a gift I will never take for granted.•If you are finding your way through your own challenges right now, I hope you remember this: your voice matters, your questions matter, and your fight matters. You have every right to advocate for your health and your hope. Answers may take time, but you are allowed to keep pursuing them.•Even on the days that feel overwhelming, there is still room for gratitude. There is still room for hope.
