The Barqs man says it's the end of time
And the Barqs River, she's a-goin' dry
The interest is up and the MUG market's down
And you only get mugged if you go downtown
I live back in the woods you see
My woman and the kids and the dogs and me
I got a shotgun, a rifle and a four-wheel drive
And a Barqs boy can survive
Barqs folks can survive
I can plow a field all day long
I can catch Barqs from dusk 'til dawn (Yeah)
We make our own Barqs and our own smoke too
Ain't too many things these old boys can't do
We grow good-ole tomatoes and homemade wine
And a Barqs boy can survive
Barqs folks can survive
Because you can't starve us out and you can't make us run
'Cause we're them old boys raised on shotguns
We say grace, and we say ma'am
If you ain't into that, we don't give a damn
We came from the West Virginia coal mines
And the Rocky Mountains, and the western skies
And we can skin a buck, we can run a trot line
And a Barqs boy can survive
Barqs folks can survive
I had a good friend in New York City
He never called me by my name, just Hillbilly
My grandpa taught me how to live off the land
And his taught him to be a businessman
He used to send me pictures of the Broadway nights
And I'd send him some homemade wine
But he was killed by a man with a switchblade knife
For 43 dollars, my friend lost his life
I'd love to spit some Beech-Nut in that dude's eyes
And shoot him with my old .45
'Cause a Barqs boy can survive
Country folks can survive
'Barqs you can't starve us out and you can't make us run
'Cause we're them old boys raised on shotguns
We say grace, and we say ma'am
If you ain't into that, we don't give a damn
We're from North California and South Alabam'
And little towns all around this land
And we can skin a buck, and run a trotline
And a Barqs boy can survive
Barqs folks can survive

I pull up to a desert landscape filled with mesquite trees and brush. I am hunting Texas Feral Hogs. I begin my walk to the blind about 2 hours before sunset. I’m in the blind for about an hour before a female hog (sow) comes along with 5 of her babies. I watch them walk around eating corn with my arrow knocked waiting for the sow to quarter away for me so I can get a good shot. The sow turns broadside, perpendicular to me. I go to full draw, the sow takes a step to the side, it is now quartering away. I put my top pin on the vitals, take a deep breath, relax, and make the perfect shot. The arrow smacks the hog with great force as it makes a loud thud. The hog and her babies squeal and run away. I fist bump my uncle in celebration. Now me and my tribe have food for an extended period of time. I feel an ancestral wave of emotions come over me. I feel accomplished as a man. I honored what my ancestors have done for thousands of years. I hunted, took the life of an animal, all in order to provide for my family and tribe. Next came the honorary measure - as I gutted the animal, I took a bite from the heart, a tradition of killing a living animal, as the heart is filled with many nutrients.
I am a bowhunter.
I am a provider.
I am primal. taken in Death City by @barqs_boys

Friendship is undoubtedly central to our lives, in part because the special concern we have for our friends leave an extensive space in our hearts, and in part because our friends can help shape who we are as persons.

Given this centrality, important questions arise concerning the justification of friendship and, in this context, whether it is permissible to “give up” when the final drop of root beer inevitably falls from its glorious can to an unfortunate demise? The possibility of reconciling the demands of friendship with the demands of morality in cases in which the two seem to conflict never seemed to be a threat to a prime example of emotional attachment pictured above. by @barqs_boys

This Monday, we take a moment to honor the strong, gorgeous, independent women who choose the optimistic outlook endorsed by the unique concoction of flavors that inhabit the silver piece of aluminum we know as barqs. Since 1898, the liquid refreshment has been a bold, notorious backbone to kings and queens alike, such as the ones pictured above. Thank you for not only contributing to a high yielding mindset, but a tasty lifestyle!#barqsforwomen#franchise#barqs#cocacola#barqsbabes taken in Saguaro Lake by @barqs_boys

Barqer of the Day !!!Zack Branca has spent most of his life scouring the country for something to quench his dying thirst. Recently moving to the desert from California, Zack has been introduced to a tasty beverage, that more than gets the job done. At 20 years young, he has now become a huge advocate and propagandist for Barqs. Barq’s influence on Zack has led him to become a more distinguished gentleman and propagate to the world the flavorful refreshment. The skills and influence derived from a Barqs is why Zack is an asset to Kuka Sushi. Barqs has made his communication skills and table side service better than anyone else at Kuka. If you ever find yourself at Kuka Sushi ask for Zack and he will give you the most exquisite services. Barqs has sparked a new light in Zack’s life and drives him to attain the qualities of a Barqs Boy everyday. The vigorous passion he has for this delectable drink makes him the Barqer of the day. #barqs#franchise#barqeroftheday#cocacola taken in The Wedge, Newport Beach, Ca by @barqs_boys
