The wonderful Angie Brown, full interview coming very soon. by @barrie_g_thomas

Seems like a lot of fabulous and significant things happened 50yrs ago this year. The calculator, landing on mars, Stevie Wonders Songs in the Key of life, Roy Ayers Everybody loves the sunshine, my birth (ya face favour, just go with it) and of course the legendary music venue The 606.

Though over the years it has somehow gained itself the reputation for being one of Londons premier jazz music venues, one of the owners last night stated categorically, that it has never been an exclusively jazz music venue, but has always been an all inclusive venue of good music venue.

The 606 are in the throws of celebrating it's 50th anniversary of providing London with magnificent music. They host national and international artists, that everytime blow you away. We've had Vanessa Haynes and many others. Last night was Beverley Pyzer Mary Pearce and Lex Cameron, with as usual, an exquisite band, and as you can see from the clips, they took it to the top. On Sunday it will be the wonderful Imaani Saleem and Wayne Hernandez.

As I always conclude, don't take the privilege that we have, of having so much at our finger tips, as we do in London. Utilise the opportunity to support art, live music, theatre and all forms of creativity. #livemusic by @barrie_g_thomas
