Iโ€™m still working the exact same hours overall, but Iโ€™m now making more time for my life outside of work. My new working hours are: ๐Œ๐จ๐ง๐๐š๐ฒ 8am - 5pm ๐“๐ก๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐๐š๐ฒ 9am - 8:30pm ๐…๐ซ๐ข๐๐š๐ฒ 8:45am - 5pm ๐’๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐š๐ฒ 8am - 1pm (April - September) 8am - 3pm (October - March) As most of you know, itโ€™s just myself behind the scenes (owner & senior barber), replying to all messages, managing bookings on our app, running our social accounts and cleaning/restocking the barbers. Therefore, the business accounts and messages are not always monitored on a daily basis. Please donโ€™t worry if you donโ€™t receive an immediate reply or appointment confirmation. If you do message or book an appointment on one of my days off, Iโ€™ll get back to you as soon as Iโ€™m back in the shop ๐Ÿ˜Š If you require a quicker response, please contact the shop on 07487 324224 during our opening hours (you can find these online or on our Booksy profile), one of our barbers will be happy to assist you where possible. If theyโ€™re busy with clients, please leave a message and someone will return your call as soon as possible. Please remember we are ๐›๐ฒ ๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐จ๐ง๐ฅ๐ฒ. From the shop to Barrieโ€™s Barbering Academy, itโ€™s always been about creating opportunity, confidence and a positive environment to grow. Today was Adamโ€™s @thedinobarber_ last day with us at Barrieโ€™s Barbers ๐ŸคŽ After balancing barbering alongside university for the last 7 months, Adam is now heading off to start a brand new chapter and will be joining Lloyds Banking Group in Edinburgh from September. Adam would like to say a huge thank you to every client who has booked in with him, supported him and kept him busy since he joined us back in February. From all of us at Barrieโ€™s, we want to thank Adam for all of his hard work during his time with us. Heโ€™s been such a bubbly, positive addition to the shop and weโ€™re really going to miss having him around! โœจ ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ฌ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐‹๐š๐๐ฒ! โœจ As many of you know, Gemma is currently away on holiday enjoying her birthday, and she has some very exciting news to share with you allโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ’โœจ This morning, Grant got down on one knee and proposed in our favourite place, and of course I said yes! ๐Ÿค The weather was absolutely stunning, Luna was there with us, and it was a moment weโ€™ll never forget. One of the things I love most about being a barber is the relationships we build. Every day, clients share their milestones, celebrations, and special memories with me, so it feels only right to share one of mine with you all too. Thank you for all your support over the years, both personally and with Barrieโ€™s Barbers. Iโ€™m so excited for this next chapter, all the wedding planning, and looking forward to catching up with you all back in the chair soon. With over 2 yearsโ€™ experience, Adam has worked in Aberdeen and Edinburgh, cut hair at London Fashion Week, and was awarded Best Apprentice Barber at the 2024 Scottish Hair & Beauty Awards. He was also a finalist for Best Male Stylist 2025. He specialises in mullets, mid-length styles, and taper fades. She was such a big part of our little barbershop and loved being around people. Lexi was lucky enough to meet so many of you, and she brought a lot of comfort, smiles, and calm moments to the shop. Sheโ€™ll be deeply missed by all of us. I also want to sincerely apologise to the clients whose appointments had to be cancelled today. Thank you so much for the kindness, messages, and understanding youโ€™ve shown - itโ€™s meant more than I can properly put into words. As much as she was my dog, she was also a family dog and a friend to so many. I canโ€™t thank everyone enough that ever helped out with Lexi over the years. I know sheโ€™ll be deeply missed by a lot of people. She will be forever missed by me ๐Ÿ’” Thank you, Lexi, for everything. You really were the best pup anyone could ask for.
