Since 1999, with 27 years of DJ experience across a range of genres & styles of play, I’d like to share, to develop DJ’s who understand Music, Culture and Community:

DJ SESSIONS with BEAR 🎧

A 5 week mentorship program hosted by Me:
- The History of DJ’ing
- Basic music theory: Time Signatures & Phrasing
- Beat Matching & Mixing
- Cutting Breaks: the BBoy & BGirl origin story
- Turntablism: intro to Scratch basics
- Performance: Dance event DJ’ing Basics

We’re gonna learn to listen, learn to feel, learn the craft, understand the culture and build your confidence for performance.

Free & Open to All but with LIMITED spots available (5 per group), running over a period of 5 weeks on Monday evenings 7:30pm-9pm in Claremont.
FIRST GROUP Starts 29 June 2026

*it is advised and preferred that if you sign up, you commit to attend all the sessions to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.
*If you miss this group there will be future opportunities in the next group.

💥 NEW PROGRESSION UNLOCKED 🔓

I am obsessed with rotational prep and activation because it’s in everything we do on a daily basis and Most Definitely if we have any athletic ambitions in sports and exercise. This sequence of Sumo Knee Drop Squats is part of my standard Hip and Trunk rotation combo, but today I’ve added the progression of sitting back into that squat to add some extra eccentric range and I’ve used it as a calisthenic workout by performing 5 sets of this sequence 🥵

TKE but Change it up✨

- “Split Reverse Squat” on a step x 10-12 reps each leg
- “On Your Marks” x 10-12 reps each leg
- “Plank TKE” x 10-12 reps each leg
SLOW AND CONTROLLED

A few variations of Terminal Knee Extension I’ve been enjoying in advanced quads and knee rehab which has required more out the box thinking. TKE is really key for full functional knee rehab. Bringing in some Knee Over Toe load in the Split Reverse Squat, and incorporating some upper quarter and core control in the On Your Marks and Plank TKE.

🤕If you are currently in therapy to treat knee pain please consult your therapist about whether this is appropriate for your stage of performance and injury recovery.
💪🏽For those who aren’t injured and just want a new way to work hard with just bodyweight - THIS IS FOR YOU! Aim to complete 3-4 sets in 3 sessions per week and let me know how it went!🤞🏽
