MAP6 Collective is running a weekend Photography Workshop at POST Creatives. This is an opportunity for you to become part of the MAP6 Collective for a weekend in Brighton & Hove, making and editing work guided by four of its members: Richard Chivers, Barry Falk, Chloe Lelliott and Paul Walsh.

A few behind the scene images from a few of our latest MAP6 projects (more details to follow). As a collective we vary destinations from city & urban places to landscape & wilderness. However, the working method remains the same: we travel together, make work together, edit together and decide the final form - from exhibition, talk, publication, or a combination of all three.

MAP6 Collective will be running a Photography Workshop at POST Creatives. This is an opportunity for you to become part of the MAP6 Collective for a weekend in Brighton & Hove, making and editing work guided by four of its members: Richard Chivers, Barry Falk, Chloe Lelliott and Paul Walsh.

Working with the MAP6 Collective we will take you through the conception, making and sequencing of a project, with the weekend workshop culminating in a pop-up exhibition at POST.

Learn and experience what it is like to be part of a working photographic collective and the benefits of working collaboratively – the methods, strategies, group dynamics and skills that MAP6 have refined over the past 15 years.

This workshop will be hands on with the emphasis on making work, sharing perspectives, theoretical knowledge and practical photographic skills that range across the entire process of making a collective project.

You will experience the power of the collective and we will guide you through the process of taking your individual ideas into a group theme, whilst still retaining your unique vision.

The workshop is suitable for anyone who is passionate about making photographs, both professional and amateur, and is interested in broadening their experience, gaining new practical photographic skills and knowledge of editing, sequencing and curating by working collectively with other photographers.

The two-day workshop is open to twelve participants.

I am very pleased to share that I will be presenting my project and book In Search of Amnesia as part of the Qesher Book Club on Tuesday 23rd June at 8pm.

Qesher, meaning connection in Hebrew, is a project that introduces diverse Jewish life from around the world. The Book Club presents stories from authors that explore Jewish heritage, global diversity, diaspora stories, historical narratives and memoirs.

I will be talking about my a 5-year photo research project looking into the Jewish narrative in Poland and Ukraine.
