A LOOK BACK ⏮️ at Steel & Stone 🔥

Our first dabble in a strongman competition ☝🏽

We had a stacked lineup of 32 strongmen and women take on five brutal events in a single day. Truck pull, husafell carry, log ladder, max deadlift and stone over bar 😮‍💨

A lot of learnings from this day to put forward if we decide to run another 🙌🏽 grateful to the strongman community who came through and not only gave it their all, but also put on a great show while doing it 🔥 by @barsloadednz

A LOOK BACK ⏮️ at No Mercy

Sanctioned Regional Qualifier for @nzpowerliftingunited 2026 Nationals

No Mercy was our first federated competition, and ran both Novice and Open divisions. Open athletes had the choice of competing raw or wrapped, as well as having both tested and untested divisions, per the NZPU rulebook. by @barsloadednz

A LOOK BACK ⏮️ at our first Benchmania 🔥

We had the privilege of having some of the biggest bench pressers in the North Island compete amongst a capped out comp of 32 athletes - with 7 males benching 200+kg, and 6 females benching 100+kg across both raw and equipped divisions.

We also had guest lifter @dwarf.juggernaut on the platform.

As well as a massive prize pool of over $1,500 in cash and other prizes thanks to our sponsors 🔥 by @barsloadednz

A LOOK AT WHAT WE’VE BUILT. 🇳🇿

Strength sport is about so much more than what happens on the platform, and every competition we’ve been involved with has been an opportunity to create an experience that athletes, spectators, sponsors and the wider community can enjoy.

From powerlifting to strongman, we’ve been behind the scenes planning, coordinating and bringing competitions together from the initial idea through to the final lift.

Here’s a look back at some of the competitions we’ve had the privilege of planning and bringing to life so far.

Every event has its own story, its own challenges and its own atmosphere - and none of it would be possible without the athletes, sponsors, volunteers, officials, vendors, photographers and everyone else who shows up and plays their part.

These events have helped shape what Bars Loaded NZ is all about: creating competitions that bring people together and contribute to a community we love being part of and want to help continue growing 🙌🏽 by @barsloadednz
