Meet the artist behind our latest exhibition: Julia, aka @jonvobi: illustrator, painter and handpoke tattoo artist based here in the Netherlands (originally from Germany).

Her series of bold black-and-white line paintings puts the audience center stage watching film's most iconic embrace. Wide eyes, popcorn mid-bite, an arm slung around a shoulder: all the small, human reactions that happen in the dark while the story unfolds on screen.

It's a portrait of us — the film lovers — as much as it is of the movies themselves.

Tegernseer Leicht — 2.8%, 50 cl
Light, crisp and easy-drinking, with all the refreshing qualities you want from a summer beer. The perfect companion for a long movie.

Schlenkerla Helles — 4.3%, 50 cl
A Bavarian Helles from Bamberg, brewed with the same yeast and in the same kettles as Schlenkerla’s famous Rauchbier. The result is a Helles with a subtle smoky character. by @barstrangelove

Join us this weekend for our first edition of Cinema Aperitivo with a screening of Roman Holiday, a true summer classic. Dine Italian style in our new boutique screening room LAB 8½, where we'll be serving a special vegetarian antipasti of marinated tomatoes, artichoke, spicy pecorino, olives, and sourdough focaccia served with pesto and paired with a spritz for all ticket holders soaking in Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck's wild adventurous day out. Saturday May 30th: David & Ruben (@chenin.ams) bring Catalan winemaker Jordi Esteve of RIM to LAB 8½ for an afternoon of wine. The tasting is sold out — the pop-up bar is wide open. ℕ𝕖𝕨 𝕗𝕝𝕒𝕧𝕠𝕣𝕤 𝕚𝕟𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕚𝕟𝕘!

Our master of flavors @lhoogendijk worked hard on a new brew: our very own homemade brandy special! A springtime gem with lemon peel, pear, pink peppercorns and a rosemary twist.

With this brandy we made a new cocktail special: 𝕊𝕔𝕒𝕣𝕝𝕖𝕥! A delicious springtime drinks with flavors inspired on the animated work of Mamoru Hosoda. In addition we developed 𝕄𝕚𝕣𝕒𝕚, the 0,0% version offering something familiar yet unexpected. 👀 taken in LAB 111 by @barstrangelove
