Super excited to share that my graduation film 'Droomland’ (Land of Dreams) (produced by @muusley) will have it's international premiere at the one and only @camerimage.festival ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 The unconventional format of the festival, which awards films according to their visual, aesthetic and technical values, has turned out to be an alternative for traditional film festivals. This project was a true team effort! But a special shout-out to @sternnordsiek , who managed to give the film a very unique look of its own. Stern, with his lighting and camera team, took the film to a level I could only dream of. He portrayed the chilly, unwelcoming Netherlands of the 1940s in a way I have not seen before. I am proud to call him a friend and look forward to working on many more projects with him. taken in ToruńCAMERIMAGE Festival by @bartmakingart

“Verwoest” is a short film that explores the duality of grief, the urge to stand still and hold on, while feeling the pressure to move forward at the same time. It questions the internal conflict of mourning: Why do we long to pause in our sorrow, yet feel compelled to continue? And what does moving on even look like? ___ Directed and written by @bartmakingart Executive producer @bastiaanvandepoel 1st AD: @muusley DoP: @stern.nordsiek 1st AC: @tarzanrutgers Gaffer: @barthoveijn @sami_el_hassani Light: @silweel Production designer: @kooopaaa Edit: @young21lya Grading: @wietsevanbezooijen Sound: @gidorikken by @bartmakingart
