Woodrow shares, "I grew up just a few blocks from Lake Park Bistro, so I was always aware of The Bartolotta Restaurants and the amazing things my parents' friends would say about their experiences there.

As I moved into hospitality management, I realized that to be the best, I had to learn from the best, so when I saw the opening at Ristorante Bartolotta dal 1993, it felt like a no-brainer."

After my internship, I went into public accounting, so returning as a Staff Accountant feels like a full-circle moment. It's a chance to apply the experience and perspective I've gained in a new way. I am currently pursuing my Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, and I look forward to continuing my professional development while contributing to the organization's long-term success."

Maryxa shares, "My first experience with The Bartolotta Restaurants was dinner at Bacchus on my 21st birthday. The staff carried themselves with such kindness that it felt like their mission was to deliver a one-of-a-kind evening for my family and me, and they truly exceeded it. Seeing how the team catered to guests on a personal level convinced me I wanted to be part of it someday.

I recently graduated from UW-Milwaukee with my master's in human resources, and I'm proud to now be part of the team. I like to help people, make them feel heard, and remind them that they have a voice, which is what drew me to a career in HR."

Ian shares, "I started as a dishwasher in my early twenties and was drawn to the kitchen's intensity, creativity, and perfectionism. I moved to Chicago to build my culinary career and worked my way up to executive chef at a Michelin-starred restaurant, where I retained the star for the two years I ran it.

When I met Chef Paul and Chef Aaron, I immediately felt a genuine connection with them and the restaurant group, and their commitment to great hospitality and food quality made me feel confident this was the right place to be."

We were honored to take part in the "Dessert First" portion of She Will: A Legacy of Leadership Celebration, benefiting Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast.

For the challenge, Bartolotta Catering & Events at Discovery World Executive Chef Felix Rosado was tasked with creating a dessert using the iconic Do-si-dos cookie and delivered with Peanut Butter Cookie Butter Cheesecake Bites.
