So grateful for all of the people in my life who have supported my little vintage journey this year. Especially grateful for wonderful friends who surprised me with visits on Saturday at the @fairfaxfunkyflea! Your support means the world to me! 😘

One of the best surprise visits was from my amazingly talented former work wifey - turned photographer @denisevanphotography! Check out these beautiful photos she took last weekend! If you ever need someone to get a snapshot of your joy for you, give Denise a call because she truly has an eye for capturing moments of happiness. 🥰

Looking for some local historical pieces at the next @fairfaxfunkyflea??? Love when I find vintage treasures with a rich history and bonus points for local Virginia history! 🤗 These two artist-signed watercolors were commissioned by the Clarendon Trust Co. in 1971 and they depict local Arlington, VA scenes from 1921 and 1871. One is from the current site location of @northsidesocial and the other is from the Aqueduct Bridge which was a precursor bridge to the Key Bridge! So cool! Any local history nerds as excited by these as I am?! 🤓 You can snag these for yourself at the @fairfaxfunkyflea on 10/31!

The good stuff doesn’t always make it to the markets! 👀

A little roundup of just some of the fab vintage homewares, art + little treasures that found new homes online lately! 🤗

Brass, ceramics, glass, art, etc... basically, all of your market faves but just shared online with a wider audience!

Some of these may have made a preview at a market and some never made it to one. Do you wish I brought any of these to the markets instead of selling them online?! 🫣

The best part about vintage markets is the community we have built! I love coming to the monthly @fairfaxfunkyflea and chatting with the same friendly faces and meeting new ones. I am so grateful for every single one of you that stops by, chats, purchases something and shares a story. 🥰 I am especially grateful for the customers who braved the Nor’easter weather on Saturday (9/26) and came out and shopped! Special shout out to those that helped me hulk my baskets and bins under the tent when it started to rain and the sweet customers that helped me hold down my tent during a few of those crazy gusts when I worried I couldn’t trust the 35lb weights on each leg. (Yep it got THAT bad!) Good news…nothing broke yesterday! I know, I am shocked too!!! 🤗

Y’all are what makes these markets so special and why we love coming back each month!

You know there is almost no greater feeling for a vintage curator like the sourcing high when you pick up your estate sale auction win and realize there are SOOO many good gems…and then you hit the thrift store along the way and pick up a few more little treasures! All in the same day! IYKYK!

But you come down from that high real quick when you realize how much cleaning, researching, inventorying, and tagging lays ahead of you. But that’s a tomorrow problem! Today I will bask in the glory of my treasure hunting!
