My solo exhibition “Mirage” opens November 6 at the Burnell R. Roberts Triangle Gallery in Dayton, Ohio.

The series began during my 2025 artist residency at Angelo State University in West Texas. Evening walks across campus, beaked yuccas under streetlights washed pale against the black sky. I photographed what I saw, then spent the next year rebuilding it in the studio with handmade stencils, layering memory over observation.

Pictured: a piece from the Mirage series.

Zoom artist talk November 20. If a piece speaks to you, DM me.

Had a great studio visit with art historian Giles, professor at Indiana University. Sharp eyes on the new large-scale works from my Apogee series. Grateful for the conversation and the close looking. Thank you, Giles!

Spent Sunday setting up fresh plastic-covered work tables and prepping watercolor demo boards for the upcoming academy classes. After testing out lesson plans and sealing rusted studio supplies, the space is clean, organized, and ready for the week.
