Hey guys! 👀

Sorry for disappearing, but I’m back! To start fresh, I made a post with all the books I read while I was away.

Let me know what you think of these books if you’ve read them (or want to)! What are you reading right now? 😊 by @baru_booked

I haven't shared what I’m currently reading with you for quite some time, so here it is! 🤭

Just yesterday, I picked up Yesteryear and I'm obsessed! I seriously couldn't put it down. 🙏✨

I’ve also been reading A Memory Called Empire for a little while now—it's a space opera, and I am loving it so much. The language is just something else! 🙌

On a slightly sad note, I do have a little disappointment ❤️‍🩹. I'm currently trying to decide if I should DNF The Everlasting. It just isn't for me 🥲.

This book is my entire personality now and everyone needs to read it. 🌸🙏

This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me follows Maggie, a woman who wakes up one day inside her favorite fantasy series. But forget cozy fantasy—this world is cruel, terrifying, and packed with political intrigue. As Maggie tries to navigate it all, she meets incredible characters who will completely steal your heart.

It is addictive, clever, funny, and absolutely wild with plot twists. I loved every single second of it.

Please do yourself a favor and give this book a chance! 🤭 by @baru_booked

Becky Chambers is my new favorite author, and this series is the absolute holy grail of her work. The Monk and Robot books are so calming and beautiful, filled with reality checks and a refreshing honesty about life. I loved every single page and genuinely think everyone should read them. They’re short, sweet, and perfect. 🤭 by @baru_booked

Everyone has those authors they trust with their life, or at least with the precious time spent reading an amazing book, and this is my list. 🤭🫶

First up is a recent addition, Becky Chambers. I read my first book by her at the end of last year, and after finishing four more, I'm falling in love with her writing style more and more. Also on my list are V.E. Schwab and Fredrik Backman, honestly, if you haven’t read anything by them yet, I don’t know what you’re doing! 😆

Lastly, Naomi Novik and Fonda Lee are incredible authors who have completely stolen my heart with their stories.

A little late, but here’s my review for The Poet Empress 🤭. I finished the audiobook last month and it totally took my breath away. It gets so much praise, and deservedly so! If you’re thinking about starting this one, go for it. Bonus: it’s a standalone! 📖✨ by @baru_booked

My April hopefuls! 🙌 As you probably know, I’m a huge mood reader, so these are definitely "hopefuls", but right now, I’m feeling really confident about finishing (or at least starting) every single book on this list! 🤭

This month, I’ve mentally committed to tackling my ongoing series. I have so many in progress and I’d love to shorten that list, so I’m continuing with Royal Assassin by Robin Hobb, The Girl in the Tower by Katherine Arden, and A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers. I also want to dive back into Samantha Shannon’s work, as she’s quickly becoming one of my all-time favorite authors (alongside Becky Chambers, of course!).

I went to the bookstore today and these books really piqued my interest! ✨ I wanted to share them with you because I need to know, should I have bought them? 🤭

I don't usually buy books on a whim, I try to only buy stories I’m sure I’ll love, and everything here definitely fits that category! by @baru_booked

Over the last month or two, I’ve read a few books that I never got around to posting about, so I wanted to share them with you now! ✨ I’ve put together a post with mini-reviews for six recent reads.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, have you read any of these, or are they on your TBR list? 🤩 by @baru_booked

A few weeks ago, I posted about an underrated book I rarely see on Bookstagram. I loved highlighting a hidden gem that deserves more attention, so I decided to do it again! 🤭

Most of these are YA but span a wide range of genres, from fantasy and contemporary to historical fiction and queer romance. ✨

Honestly, making this post makes me want to reread all of these books. 😂
