I will admit that I might have designed this new product for me.
It makes me so happy and I hope you will like it, too.

A notepad with 12 postcards, each with a unique design on the front and back.
Each postcard is printed on beautiful paper, each featuring one of my favorite artworks.

I started giggling when they arrived, and my smile broadens every time I mail one.
I hope you will send a few of them out into the world.

And I have many to thank:
@npamphilis23, who found @paperchasepress (now powered by @hemlockprinters) and their beautiful printing service.
@ertenart, who gave initial ideas and inspiration.
Melissa of @pongo_the_bear, who helped me choose the favorites of the favorites, helped me through many, many versions, and diligently prepared the print files.

I am so grateful.

The postcard notepad is now in my shop and the link to my shop is in my bio. ♥️ by @basakillustrates

I wish you a happy Monday, a happy week, happy fall and in general, much happiness.

Hope you enjoy little mistakes that make you smile,
Big mistakes that help you learn.
Hope little moments bring you big joy.
Hope dreams that you have been waiting for come true,
Hope you dream of new dreams. by @basakillustrates

My husband and I drove five and a half hours to @milkweedinn this past weekend. Our second time since 2021, first time in fall. We fell in love even more.

The trees surrounding the cabin were turning redder every hour. We walked in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening.
Every nook of the cabin invited us to slow down and rest.
The food chef @laneregan_and_co served was as tasty, as inventive, as foraged as we remembered—and more.
There was love all around. Newlyweds, longtime weds. New couples, second marriages, good friends. New friends.

We are grateful we could partake in this little heaven, so thoughtfully tended to and made even more beautiful every day by chef @laneregan_and_co and their team. They gave us the best parting gift, 25 grams of Dolly, their 23 year old sourdough starter🤍 by @basakillustrates

These are the flavor combo illustrations that I have worked on for @townandcountrymag and you can find my own reporting on them😊

The Fish and Chips go right to my heart, especially with extra malt vinegar.

What do you like? What are your favorite flavor combos? by @basakillustrates

This was a fun assignment!

While working on the editorial illustrations for the @townandcountrymag, I learnt about the origin of some of the most popular flavor combos. I am excited that some of the best versions for two of them can, according to this opinionated article, be found in Chicago! Lucky me!

Thank you to my design director Chiun Lee who suggested some fabulous china patterns and to @spinningyarnreps for this wonderful connection. ♥️ by @basakillustrates

Some of the little illustrations I created for Cartier Summer 2026.

These little illustrations found their way onto invitations, dinner menus, ice cream menus, postcards and activity books for children.

Thank you to the @cartier team for another magical year 💙

Another wonderful summer of Cartier.

This year, the baby Panthères visited Bodrum! They played on the beach, frolicked in the sea and got into a little mischief by the boutique. I was thrilled to be part of their Bodrum adventures.

The new illustrations joined the artwork I created over the previous two years, and all together they were used for the events planned for the Bodrum boutique: invitations, dinner menus, ice cream menus, postcards and activity books for children.

Holding all these beautiful pieces in my hands makes me realize how lucky I am.

Thank you to the @cartier team for another magical year 💙

One more rotation around the sun.
A lot of movement.
One daughter in college.
One daughter at home.
Two cats firmly planted in my and my husband’s bed at night.
Family and friends around the world.
Life is full.
I am grateful.
I am happy to be on this journey,
And a happy birthday to me🎈 by @basakillustrates

A few stills from the Colectivo billboard project, also showing the initial drafts.

Thank you, @colectivocoffee. ☕️

Working with one of my favorite Midwest brands is a dream come true.

This billboard is in my neighborhood, and I might have driven by it a few times now, pinching myself every time. When I moved to Chicago 12 years ago, I certainly didn’t imagine that one day I would see my artwork up in the city skyline.

There is something so exciting—and a little surreal—about seeing a piece that started at my desk become part of the city I now call home.

Scott Isabella and @colectivocoffee, thank you for trusting my vision and giving me complete artistic freedom. It was, once again, such a joy to work with you.

And yes, I am very proud of this one. ❤️
