Mai shayar toh nahi
Par jazbaton ki ek band kitaab hoon
Khamoshi ke khizan mai
Hasraton ka ek sailaab hoon

Tanhaiyon se yun rafaqat hai mujhe
Jaise purani kitab mai
Sukha hua gulab hoon
Aur zindagi ke saraab mai
Ek toota hua khwaab hoon

Agar me shayar hota
Toh in veeraniyon pe ek kitaab zarur likhta
Khudko us kitaab ka markazi kirdar likhta
Kuch ankahi baaton ka jawab
Aur ek khubsurat sa ikhtitam likhta
Qismat par hamara ikhtiyar toh nahi
Bas haal e dil par ek bayaan likhta
Lekin afsos, mai shayar toh nahi

میں شاعر تو نہیں
پر جذباتوں کی ایک بند کتاب ہوں
خاموشی کے خزاں میں
حسرتوں کا ایک سیلاب ہوں

تنہائیوں سے یوں رفاقت ہے مجھے
جیسے پرانی کتاب میں
سُکھا ہوا گُلاب ہوں
اور زندگی کے سراب میں
جیسے ایک ٹوٹا ہوا خواب ہوں

اگر میں شاعر ہوتا
تو اِن ویرانیوں پہ ایک کتاب ضرور لکھتا
خود کو اُس کتاب کا مرکزی کردار لکھتا
کچھ انکہی باتوں کا جواب
اور ایک خوبصورت سا اِختتام لکھتا
قسمت پر ہمارا اِختیار تو نہیں
بس حالِ دل پر ایک بیان لکھتا
لیکن افسوس، میں شاعر تو نہیں۔ by @basement.poet

Lost
Everyday I visit a dark place
Shadowed by my conscience
Filled with screams of my past
Plagued by desires of vengeance

They ask me
If everything's alright
They see me laugh
Fighting an endless fight
Soaring into the empty sky
Tied by the thread of my light
Like a strange phoenix
Like a lone kite

Oh I am totally fine
Driving on empty roads at night
When you don’t have hope
What is wrong and what is right?

The space between
My sanity and dread
Is perhaps not so much
Like a field of dandelions
Waiting for a fragile touch

Lost in my head
As I wander town to town
Fog fills my space
In hues of black and brown
Yearning for a home
In my thoughts I drown
Doomed by fate
Looking for my lost crown. by @basement.poet

I told Allah I’m in pain
Allah said: “For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease”(Qur'an 94:5)

I told Allah I'm tired
Allah said: “Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.”(Qur'an 13:28)

I told Allah I feel I’m alone
Allah said: “We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein.”(Qur'an 50:16)

I told Allah my sins are so many
Allah said: “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allāh. Indeed, Allāh forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful”(Qur'an 39:53)

I told Allah I'm lost
Allah said:“No misfortune ever befalls except by permission of Allah. And whoever has faith in Allah - He will guide his heart. And Allah is Knowing of all things” (Qur'an 64:11)

I told Allah I'm afraid
Allah said: "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing."(Qur'an 20:46)

I told Allah do not leave me
Allah said: “So remember Me; I will remember you.”(Qur'an 2:152)

I told Allah I need you
Allah said: "Call upon Me, I will respond to you"(Qur'an 40:60) by @basement.poet
