This weekend I had my first show ever at @middleofthemaptattoo and it was SO fun! It was an excellent learning experience and the perfect opportunity to gage what people’s interest in my work would be. I was lucky enough to get to be neighbors with @vichcraft and @smellby who had such incredible banner work on display, I met a fellow psychonaut in @visionaryvoyager who has some truly beautiful pieces to share, and I had (genuinely) some of the best coffee I’ve ever tasted from @curiousjoecoffee and found a renewed interest in the tattoo culture for the first time since leaving my dad’s shop in 2013. I’m looking forward to next year with a better grip on what to expect and more pieces to share, and hopefully a stronger social media presence to get the word out. I always get lost in the moment and forget to take pictures, if my mom hadn’t been bugging me to take some of my own booth I probably would have forgotten. Thank you @iriscazilia for keeping me in the know about these things! Next year I’m hopefully getting a tattoo from her, judging from the quality of her artwork I know she’s going to be slinging ink with the best of them soon! by @bashael_

Tracing out the details to the shape of three
I hope you, two, remember a time when you only
needed one face to face the world
a single name that still remains
beneath the augmentation yet
a mimic just the same.
Split along the divide like I’s
or conquer it’s entirety whole and thrive
If the only way out is through
then I must find myself in you
Where at last we can come together to
