Thinking in public, being elusive is boring, I think. Life is better when you share yourself with others. And things are becoming more and more interesting as I learn this “self”, and alone time helps with this, a lot— in finding the depth. It’s interesting, pulling out and seeing what’s there. Last year friends bought me a camera, and it’s helped me see the art in the world. It’s helped me really love and appreciate imperfection, randomness, and things of character, particularly around how life unfolds and how it looks. think I’m actively rebelling against the idea of over-polish that exists and we can’t run from. Life is better when you live in a way you want (within reason)—being genuine with yourself, managing your compromise, understanding where it ends and you start. It’s been a full year so far, with many memorable moments, weddings, flying, experimenting, YouTube, and YouTube music. Re-addressing blurred lines, questioning myself, going deeper, learning likes and dislikes, and being exposed to different ways of seeing things. I leave with Mexico City as the most beautiful, but I will never forget Nairobi. Random collection of unpolished sentences and genuine thoughts.
