For Bashiri Johnson, rhythm isn’t just music. It’s a language of community, connection, and healing.

The Brooklyn-born percussionist has spent decades bringing his signature groove to some of the biggest artists and stages in music. But today, his focus is Rhythm Healing™, his own philosophy and practice built on the idea that rhythm has the power to bring people together and restore what words alone can’t.

Hear Bashiri speak at the International Society for Music Education World Conference, Thursday, July 30 at 1:00 PM, as he shares his musical journey and why it matters now more than ever.
