🦋Aye Skipper🦋Not on a boat, but alongside the river. I was out looking to capture common blues when I saw this guy. On first glance he looked rugged and common, but hiding on a dead flower his very ruggedness drew me in. Now, I decided to go all out purple on this edit. It's my color, what can I say? Banded Demoiselle Who you calling dragonfly? I learned that this beauty is actually a damselfly. Apparently, damselflies hold their wings closed along their body when resting, while dragonflies always keep theirs spread. Spotted this one along the river, a little past golden hour and it held still long enough for a couple of handheld stacking tries. Golden hour bokeh in the Bavarian woods 🌲✨I was out for macro subjects when golden hour hit and the sun started filtering magically through the trees.Suddenly those ordinary weeds you’d walk past in broad daylight turned into little eye‑catchers.I'll admit I'm a big fan of dreamy bokeh, catching scenes like this makes me very happy. ☺️It was a windy day inside the forest, so I had to push shutter speed and ISO to keep things usable while still shaping the bokeh where I wanted it at f/11. Shades of greenWhat? Nothing to shoot in my garden? This little fella begs to differ! He sat nice and still and let me get a look from three sides. Shame he was sitting pretty high up so I couldn't get a top view. Light catchera scene from spring, the first butterfly I found beneath a stack of old wood logs while it rested in the grass.
