This past September, I had the incredible privilege of directing a short documentary on the legendary @jcbiver. Collaborating closely with my brother @nolanbuchi, we delved into a life defined by profound passion, enduring legacy, family, and the pursuit of eternity. Exciting news for an absolute stellar team. The short film Daedalus will be screening at the 2024 American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker showcase at the Cannes Film Festival. I was so lucky to get behind the lens for this ambitious project led by @katerinamunis. This project brought more than just a beautiful film, but new friends, collaborators, wisdom, and gratitude.

Some of my favorite moments from Chasing Eternity — a short portrait documentary I directed on the remarkable @jcbiver and his visionary journey at @biverwatches .

With the help of @nolanbuchi , I had the opportunity to get behind the glass on this one as well. We shot it on the ARRI Classic (still a beauty!) with Super Speeds, leaning into natural single-source lighting and embracing the the weather of a Swiss summer’s end. There’s something special about letting nature help shape the visual tone of a story.
