The Big Apple Softball League is NYC's ONLY LGBTQ+ Softball League since 1977.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Big Apple Softball League was formed nearly 50 years ago as a space for LGBTQ+ individuals to play softball and feel supported and respected as the individuals we are. We continue that commitment today, and strongly denounce any policy or action that discriminates against, or tries to erase, transgender, non-binary, inter-sex persons, or any person that does not identify as only “LGB”. These efforts that marginalize and dehumanize are not only harmful but also undermine the principles of freedom, equality and inclusivity. The Executive Committee, Division Reps, Committee Chairs and Managers will continue to work together to create an environment where everyone can thrive without fear of discrimination or persecution based on gender identity.

Our community is no stranger to adversity, hatred and fear. And while fear in the face of hatred can feel overwhelming, know that Big Apple Softball League has always and will always stand with you. by @basl_softball
