We brought 33.6 Ibs to the scales, anchored by a monster 10.92 Ib kicker to lock up the win and win a brand new Bass Cat Bobcat! We finally did it!!! The work I’ve been putting in on and off the water has all lead up to this moment! I was able to win the @newjenbass Pro/Am TOC at Lake Shasta and come home with a brand new @rangerboats z518 while fishing out of my @triton_boats_official 21 TrX Patriot and win 8k of Triton Gold Money!! ABA SHASTA CASCADE – THAT’S A WRAP ON THE 2026 SEASON! What a year for the ABA Shasta Cascade Region. The 2026 season is officially in the books, and from our first event on Shasta to the final weigh-in at Trinity Lake, this season gave us some incredible fishing, big weights, tight finishes and one heck of an AOY race. Congratulations to Nick Wood and Justin Gordon, your 2026 ABA Shasta Cascade Anglers of the Year! Taking home AOY against this field takes consistency all season long. Nick and Justin put together the season they needed and earned the title. Congratulations to both of you on a well-deserved accomplishment. John Pearl and Gary Collins put together an impressive two-day total of more than 60 pounds to take 1st place at the 2025 ABA North Championship and the $8,000+ two-day first-place prize. Then came the big one. Joseph Orozco and Cheng Xiong battled their way through the Championship, made it to Day 3 and WON THE BASS CAT BOAT! That also makes it TWO YEARS IN A ROW that an ABA Shasta Cascade team has brought the Bass Cat boat home to our region. That is something worth recognizing. We have some incredibly talented anglers fishing the Shasta Cascade Region, and seeing our teams compete at that level and bring the biggest prize home two years straight says a lot about the competition we have here. I also want to recognize every angler who fished with us this season. Whether you fished one tournament or the entire schedule, won an event, cashed a check, earned a plaque, qualified for a championship or simply came out and competed, THANK YOU. The anglers are what make this region what it is. None of these events happen without the businesses and people who step up to support tournament fishing.
