I am thrilled to share the news that I’ve been appointed to lead the jazz program at Purdue University. I am joining a dynamic team, filling big shoes, and already dreaming of the incredible experiences and performances I’ll get to share with the talented music students and community at Purdue.

It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to the place I’ve lived and served since I graduated college. While I’ve helped to build the music and jazz program at Noblesville Schools, they’re also a big reason for my own growth as an educator. I am eternally grateful.

Looking forward to the amazing days ahead. I look forward to sharing the journey with you all!

Enjoyed a great Jazz Girls Day workshop and concert day at the gorgeous Friedrich’s Forum in Bayreuth The scenery is like a movie set, and the students were open to improvise and learn tunes. Grateful for a day of good backline, great music, and wonderful new friends!

Berlin show at the Kubiz Club with Karina Colis, Peter Keinle, and Monika Herzig. Took the early mornings to check out some major sites in this haunting/beautiful city! Starting off the Transparent Tour in such an incredible place.

Wrapping up an incredible three days with the CREATE! Glasgow music students and staff at the BBC Scottish Symphony Hall. 2 student workshop days focusing on the blues and second line with final recorded performance, and a day with music educators, most who are strictly classical who came back a second year in a row to explore dynamic rehearsal techniques and jazz pedagogy and how it can expand engagement in any ensemble or private lesson environment. I’m so lucky to have this opportunity two years in a row- amazing students, teachers, hospitality, coned statues, curry, conversations, and… the wee donkey.

I am thrilled to team up for a second year with Glasgow CREATE in Scotland to present 3 days of workshops for all the area music students and music educators! This organization supports music and art students city-wide. It all happens at the BBC Symphony Hall in the heart of Glasgow. So grateful to reconnect with this incredible music education community!
