The NEW MOD5X is here!

We designed the MOD5X to be one of the lightest production models we've ever offered. Most MOD5X basses fall in the low to mid 9-pound range while still maintaining a comfortable playing feel on a strap.

This one is loaded with Bartolini Deep Tone pickups and our MC3 preamp, delivering a warm, full sound with plenty of punch and versatility. It also features a 3-piece roasted maple neck with a flame maple center strip, carbon fiber reinforcement, and classic white block inlays for the perfect blend of stability, looks, and performance.

Like every Bassmods bass, it receives a complete fret level, professional setup, and play test here in our U.S. shop before it ships.

NEW MOD5X!

Here's another one that's ready to go.

The new MOD5X features a chambered swamp ash body, roasted maple neck, white blocks and binding, Bartolini B-Axis pickups, and our MC3 preamp. It's a clean-looking bass with a really versatile voice that covers a lot of ground.

Like every Bassmods, it received a complete fret level and setup here in our shop before it ships, so it's ready to play the day it arrives.

This one is available now, and because it's already built, it will ship much faster than a standard custom order.

Just finished another K534 Pro Build.

This one is a little different. We went with an all Trickfish setup using their new Humcancelling pickups and the J-Core preamp.

I've always liked Trickfish gear, and this combination really came together. It's clean, punchy, and has a lot of flexibility. If you're after a great tone with plenty of clarity, this one is worth checking out.

The nice thing is this one is already built, so it'll ship much faster than a standard custom order.

As always, every Bassmods bass gets a complete fret level and setup before it leaves the shop.

I think this one turned out really nice.

This one is loaded with our new Bassmods Neo Block pickups and an Aguilar OBP-3. We also added a custom UV pickguard to give it a look that matches the tone. The pickguard still has the plastic on it! Will look even better!

A Bassmods First!

Here's something kind of cool...

Whoever ends up with this White K534 will also get the very first set of our new Bassmods Neo Block pickups with white covers. This is the first production set to leave our shop, and the Neo Blocks won't officially be released for a few more weeks.

This bass will be for sale at Bassmods.com sometime mid-week, so keep an eye out if you've been looking for something a little different. We'll make another post once we finish the final photos.

About the Neo Blocks:

The Neo Blocks were designed for players who want a focused, modern sound with plenty of punch and clarity. They have tight lows, excellent note definition, and a strong attack that still stays musical.
