This track is my tribute to the one tribe!
Witnessing the Defqon endshow live broke me. Surrounded by the people who worked day and night, who stayed strong and refused to lose hope when everything could have fallen apart, I finally understood what this track was really about. Standing there in tears with all of them, it all made sense.

'Sacred Flame' is about the spark inside you when everything feels dark and impossible. The flame that keeps burning no matter how hard it gets.

This is my tribute to the warriors, the visitors, the crew, and everyone at Q-dance who kept going through the hardest moments. You all carry that sacred flame inside you. My orange heart goes out to all of you! 🧡
We'll be back stronger than ever.

Still can't believe this happened. 🤯 I remember the exact moment I first heard Hardwell & Dyro's 'Not Alone'. I Was driving somewhere, windows down, and that vocal hit me. I already had a new melody stuck in my head before the second chorus even finished.
Next day, I canceled everything and locked myself in the studio. That's what happens when a track grabs you like that. You just have to make something with it.
I Sent the remix to Hardwell and Dyro a few weeks later. They both loved it. But then I saw the EDC Live stream and found out that he played my remix on that stage in front of 70,000 people. Crazy!
One of those full-circle moments where you realize how far music can travel. From a melody in my head on a random drive, to the EDC main stage played by such a legend.

25 years ago, as a little kid, I was dreaming of going to Defqon. That dream turned into playing at Defqon.
If you had told me back then that one day I would be sharing the stage with all these Legends from the past and the future in the sickest Defqon show the world has ever witnessed, I wouldn’t have believed you for a second.
But this moment was more than perfect. It was the cherry on the cake.

Sharing the stage with Roland and Bas as NCBM felt incredible. The sunset with the sax was the perfect backdrop for Solar. And those dancers, together with Oxygen and Mantra, brought the show to another level.

Rocking 3 packed Defqon stages in one weekend was not even on my bucketlist. It was more than I could ever wish for. 🤯

Q-dance, thank you for 25 years of epicness and unforgettable memories.

This was just hours before Defqon got shut down cause of the code red situation. I was so thrilled and hyped for the day that would never come.
But the love and all the emotional messages on my track 'Sacred Flame' showed me one thing. The flame of this community will never die. 🔥

'Sacred Flame' was always about the fire inside you, that strength you find to push through the darkest times. But after Defqon got shut down, it became something more. And when the main lead started sounding like a crying dragon... standing under that dragon that never got to fully roar for all of his warriors... it all made sense.

The flame. The dragon. The tears. All of it came together in one moment none of us will ever forget. 🥹🧡
