My last art award ceremony...
Holy goodness guys. This is actually such a big deal to me, I don't think anyone understands holy shit... All of my jewelry pieces, all of my paintings, all of my effort is in this show.
Tonight I won five awards in recognition for my artistry over the past year here at Norwich Free Academy.
I've put so so so so so much effort into everything here on display and I could not have done it without the support of my family, friends, and teachers. Thank you to my mother and father who have supported my every endeavor with the arts, and to my friends who support me through it all. Thank you to Ms. Nash, who has been my jewelry teacher for three years now and who has always been incredibly supportive of my ideas in the studio. Thank you to Ms. Gus, who I have only known for this school year but who has been such an amazing teacher when it comes to painting (cause I do NOT paint much). And, of course, thank you to Ms. LeFrancois who is the director of the NFA art program and who is also incredibly kind whenever I see her on campus.
.
As my time at NFA begins to end I am so devastated to be leaving this amazing art program but so incredibly happy to know that I will be able to pursue a career in the arts because of it. Thank you, so much, to everyone who has helped me complete every project possible. (Im still bitter about my sketchbooks being taken from me).
Please, everyone, come and see the show (on display until the end of May) and support your local artists!!

A few days ago (like a long time this happened on March 30th), I attended the Connecticut Association of Schools dinner. I was recognized for my achieves with an Outstanding Arts Award.
My teachers, Ms. Nash and Ms. LeFrancois, handed me the award after the ceremony and I decided to paint it!
Thank you to everyone who has ever supported me! It means a lot and I cannot express how much it means exactly... but without your support I would not be able to be where I am. Thank you!!

OH MY GODKDDS OKAY SORRY GUYS I DONT POST MYSELF HERE BUT I MUST.
At the end of last year my jewelry teacher, Ms. Nash, had me submit a singular piece to the regional scholastics art competition. Now lemme just say this... I did NOT think I was gonna win SHIT. oh my god considering my classmates who were also having their projects go in, I was like... aint no way. And then it was like yes way and I got selected for a silver key!!!! Freak yeah. Low and behold I go to see the gallery (which every single piece in there, silver key, gold key, or honorable mention) was BEAUTIFUL. I loved seeing pieces from all around ct because just.. oml it was all so cool.
My fellow classmates Rowan and Natalie had their pieces displayed aswell!!! Im so happy for them because holy shit they're also super freaking talented.
Im so thankful to even be able to create jewelry aswell as win awards for it. So many people from my family and many of my friends and a lot of my teacher's have supported and believed in me for so many years now, and I greatly appreciate it all. Even NFA for all its frustrations, I greatly appreciate all the things I have learned. I know im lowkey just yapping now but idc this makes me so freaking happy, little five year old me is SCREAMING in excitement.

Although i can NOT be in attendance for this exhibition, my parents can and so i have some photos!
I am so incredibly honored to have two of my most tedious pieces accepted into this competition. I am especially honored when I see the incredible talent that many other artists, who have their work displayed, have. Everyone is so incredibly talented and being amongst such talented artists is amazing. (I'm sorry if my words are repetitive)
Thank you so so so much to the Guilford Arts Center for accepting my work.
If you can, please go see this exhibit, not just for me, but for everyone who has things on display. The talent is INSANE!!
So thank you once again because this is so awesome!!

Hey guys :/
So I figured I'd should share SOMETHING from the stuff I've been doing so here are some painting assignments. We've been working with watercolor, lowkey the watercolor I have is such bad quality and I think it's expired... so I'm gonna hopefully get better.
However.... my black and white watercolor (used in the first photo) is awesome!!! I miss black and white watercolor work its so fun :(
Anyways... I know none of this is super fun or impressive (especially fhe last two photos of this post, those are BAD) but I want to share what I've been doing in fancy fancy art school.
So, yeah, another mediocre post 😓 I hope y'all even slightly enjoy k bye

Hey guys.... guess who's in college now 🫪🫪
This post is just a peak into what my design class has been like. We're mostly focusing on abstract work, lines, and calligraphy and all of these things are just experimental works to get the hang of this style.
We're also using ink which is super cool, I've not really used it before so this has been super fun to do!!
The last four photos are an experiment with modeling clay to create rings out of letters, so i chose B, Y, and E because..... they're fun. I think the Y is the coolest because its just really fun but the E came out funky too so please let me know which one looks better 💔
I'm probably going to be posting work thats much less finished than usual just because I'll be making more experimental things and i think they'll all be kinda mid, so... yeah.
I have other samples and things to post soon as well but I want to try and get them to look slightly better than they do now. So I hope these are cool enough and yeah...
Okay bye,

Okay... these aren't the best things I've made but they're finished samples for a technique I want to try.
The idea is just using gesso on copper metal to make a paper like surface on the metal that you can then use colored pencils on. I don't use colored pencils often BUT I thought this would still be a super cool thing to do.
Every single one of these pieces had problems. So. I'm gonna put this technique on the shelf until I have more time to actually work on this idea. (Although if you work with metal contact me please cause I got a lot of tips).
I chose to make classic tattoo designs into jewelry with this technique because it seemed PERFECT. But I just ran into a lot of trouble (I will continue to try but I did what to show what I've been doing).
There are MANY meanings with traditional Navy sailor tattoos. So there are many opportunities with this technique that would be super cool. So I'm going to keep learning.
Okay... bye.

Another non jewelry post...
Okay so.... I saw a reel on here about making little tapestries with pony beads and I thought - I can do that. And guess what guys, I did :)
I first made a little junimo (which I photographed backwards but it's too late to fix it no) from Stardew Valley. I LOVEEE stardew valley, it's such a fun. Game and I love the little junimo guys they're super cute, and really easy to make.
Then I made a smaller and much simpler bat, which also came out really cute.
I found these patterns online, of course, I did not make them up because this was my first time trying this craft.
I'm thinking about making more to sell so if anyone is interested please let me know!! Or if you have any other ideas that I could make also let me know about that, this was really fun to do.

An art post thats not jewelry!?!?!?!? (Crazy)
Okay so this is my piece for the Edward Gorey Art Envelope Contest. The theme was "The Utter Zoo" and the general idea was angry animals...
So I thought, peacocks seem pretty angry but they're always perceived as regal and gorgeous creatures. Which I thought worked with the idea of becoming angry because they're so regal but whenever their feathers go up they're just seen as beautiful, not a threat... which is the point of their feathers.
The back of the envelope (which is not good) was just sketching and my attempt at Edward Gorey's own drawings of birds. So... yeah figured i should include that aswell.
Anyways... I dont draw animals often so this took me a few months to actually think of composition before I settled on this. Thank you SO much to my tattoo artist, Melissa, for gifting me with some really good colored pencils (Prismacolor) and for my friend Rion (@orion_without_the0) for their help with this. Of course thank you to everyone else who helped me aswell (like my parents and frisnds). Thank you for all of your guys' suport!!!

Back with another bone related post!!
So this is a copper and silver hair pin that I made for my mother... its a row of teeth!!! She came up with this idea one night when I asked what a cool hair pin design might be.
This is literally just two layers of metal and a big piece if wire sharpened for a pin. I used stamping tools to get the little lines in the teeth. I also used a grinding tool to blend the gums into the teeth so it was more realistic, in a sense.
Anyways, just a quick little project that I thought was super cool!! I'm thinking of making more and selling them soon so if you know any cool dentists....
Okay bye

So... this is the earcuff I was talking about in my last post. This piece was one of many in my scholastic portfolio and the portfolio I submitted to my university (which I was accepted to!!!).
This piece is made out of cat shoulder blades and set to be an ear cuff. Although this looks and was incredibly simple to make, figuring out the gaps for the bones on the back was pretty difficult.
But, hey, I made it and it looks kinda cool!! Out of all the pieces I made I'd definitely wear this one because its really cute and very comfortable!!
I want to keep experimenting with natural objects so if anyone had any ideas or suggestions PLEASE let me know 🙏🙏
Okay, bye...
