Overwhelmed with gratitude out of ten. Thank you everyone that bought tickets and made this a really great time. I hope this brunch was at least a little part of the counter argument to the “Dallas has no dining scene” or “Dallas has no food culture” crowd. Thank you for supporting so hard we quickly went from I hope we can sell these 20 tickets to damn we’re actually going to sell out the patio and have 60. Thank you for making us put our donation money where our mouths are. Thank you for supporting a local small business with your brunch business. Thank you for convincing me that maybe we should do something like this again. Thank you to @mjbalke @cortinalynn and the whole @encinadallas team for pulling out all the stops (shoutout to @wadell_74 for sweating it out over the flat top outside). Thank you @daniel_eating_dallas for always being down for doing ridiculous things. And thank you in advance for hearing me out on the next one. Thank you to the three organizations we supported that are out there doing the real work: The Birthday Party Project, The Human Impact and Youth With Faces.
