[Mother House Studios - Lewisham
artist studios & creative co-working environment with integrated care @motherhousestudios ]

πŸ‘ΆπŸΌ What's special

Affordable child-friendly creative workspaces and art studios in Lewisham, South London. It opened in 2024 and is rooted in the original Mother House Studio model, founded in 2016 by Dyana Gravina as part of Procreate Project.

Studios and desk spaces available in a creative studio that includes playroom, enclosed garden and children's facilitator.

Inclusive and accessible pricing to lower barriers of entry for parents and carers in the arts and creative sector.

The approach challenges traditional childcare structures that often separate children from parents and parents from their workspaces. Instead, it fosters an inclusive environment where artistic practice and caregiving coexist, benefiting both artists and their children.

πŸ‘ΆπŸΌ Personal thoughts

I recently visited a studio holder there and was impressed by the relaxing environment and the abundance of space for children there (playroom and outdoor garden). 🍠 by @batataforartists
