HEATED RIVALRY: MINNESOTA EDITION- @rachelreidwrites

I’ve lived in Minnesota my whole life and it’s been devastating to see what has happened to our community by the government and ICE.

In addition to being our state bird, the loon has some interesting lore here. MN did a flag redesign contest three years ago and one of the entries was the Laser Loon (swipe to see). While it sadly did not win, I’ve incorporated the chosen MN state flag and the laser loon into a Heated Rivalry bind. I got beef with Ilya - It’s not just a stupid, Canadian wolf bird but a symbol of resistance for Minnesota 💙

A WALLFLOWER CHRISTMAS by @lisakleypas

Our final novella The Wallflowers series, the best Christmas special a girl could ask for, and ends the foray into rebinding this beloved series of mine. Thanks for joining this exercise of self-torture!

Entire series rebind is inspired by Marie Antoinette (the movie) and various famous paintings.

This bookcloth is Hylas and the Nymphs by John William Waterhouse.

SCANDAL IN SPRING by @lisakleypas

Number four for The Wallflowers series. Although not my favorite, Daisy is probably the most relatable FMC to me.

Entire series rebind is inspired by Marie Antoinette (the movie) and various famous paintings.

This bookcloth is an oil painting by Peder Severin Krøyer called Roses. I imagine it as Daisy doing her favorite thing!

The Christmas special is my last and final one next (and probably my favorite of the binds), A Wallflower Christmas ❤️

DEVIL IN WINTER by @lisakleypas

Number three for The Wallflowers and my absolute favorite in the series. And possibly one of my favorite books 🫦 St. Vincent is the greatest MMC ever written and I ADORE Evie. This book makes me laugh, cry, and kick my feet.

Entire series rebind is inspired by Marie Antoinette (the movie) and various famous paintings.

This bookcloth is a painting called The Ball by Henri Gervex. I chose this one as it made me think of Evie as a true wallflower before she comes out of her shell.

Scandal in Spring is next in line!

SECRETS OF A SUMMER NIGHT by @lisakleypas

I was never fully happy with my last set of The Wallflowers series, so I decided to redo it. This time around, I am much happier with the end product so each book deserves its own post 💕

Entire series rebind is inspired by Marie Antoinette (the movie) and various famous paintings.

This bookcloth is a painting called Salon Scene by Vittorio Reggianini.

Next up will be It Happened One Autumn!

THE CHANGELING by ANNERB

What would happen if Ginny was sorted into Slytherin instead?

This is straight from HP fanfic archives, beginning in 2011 and wrapping in 2017. This bind taught me that canvas is the only way to make a book these days and HTV can rot in hell ✌🏼printable canvas, here I come!

This is for personal use only. The Changeling can be read for FREE on AO3. Keep fanfic free and do not purchase bound copies. I was unable to locate the writer for permission, however I will remove this post by author request.

Bookcloth: Spoonflower
Interior Art: purchased from Etsy
Typeset: Me

MANACLED by @senlinyuwrites

✨Manacled except it is your grandmother’s couch✨I’ve put off making a Manacled bind forever but with it coming off AO3, it was now or never. So I signed up for #theendofanera exchange hosted by @ellebinds 🧚🏻

These girls are on the way to their recipient! Typeset by me. These were hard to photograph and I also have no patience for taking aesthetic photos so this is what we get 💁🏽‍♀️

I know this story inspired so many to take up bookbinding and without it, I wouldn’t have met so many of you! Cheers to the very end. Looking forward to seeing those Alchemized rebinds next year.

Manacled comes off AO3 TODAY so if you haven’t downloaded it yet, what are you waiting for?!

SOFT AS IT BEGAN by rubbersoul_02

This outrageously gaudy bind was made for a special someone’s birthday (!!!!!!!) to add to her growing SaiB collection.

I’m glad I didn’t listen to my mom when she told me not to meet strangers on the internet 💕 @booksandbrooksbindery, may Edward be in your window, jam on your toast, and Draco in your heart on this day!

Leaned real heavy into the strawberry jam theme here. Ignore all the errors. I couldn’t get the vinyl to stick to the cloth and didn’t realize why until it peeled up—my iron turned off while I used it and I didn’t notice 🫠
