“I don’t want an ordinary wedding.”
That was Mr. E’s brief when he asked me to create the blueprint for their wedding. I couldn’t sleep for days, creating concept decks and sheets to ensure the vision is met.

I wanted to build a world that breathed: modern silhouettes softened by cultural memory, sculptural lines held by warmth, a night that felt like home and like destiny at the same time.

“When Two Worlds Collide” became the spine of it all; a love story designed to feel contemporary in vision, yet timeless in soul.

An honour to be the first person Mr E spoke to for the direction of this wedding, watching it unfold last night felt surreal.

A blueprint that became a world.
A chapter I’ll hold close.

2024 was a symphony of love and loss, joy and betrayal.

I celebrated soulmates finding each other, grieved someone irreplaceable, fought to keep my head above water when friends turned to foes, and stood proud in moments of triumph. Through it all, the depth of every emotion reminded me what it means to truly live. This fleeting, imperfect life is a gift, I wouldn’t want it any other way 🤍 taken in 2024 by @batrisyiajay

The need to be healthy is something that was ingrained in me for quite a while back, but I’ll be honest, nowadays I’ve found it hard to balance between work and having a healthy lifestyle. I’ve always resulted in exercises instead of diets to keep healthy (can’t help it I love indulging in food too much) so with the restriction and closing of gyms during this pandemic season, this feat of keeping healthy seems to have became twice as hard for me.

This was what resulted in me joining my weekly yoga class as a substitute, so I guess there’s a silver lining in that. Not only is it a non-contact sport, but yoga has helped me in many aspects of my life, from releasing any pent-up stress to also acts as a reset for me to start the week, gifting me with an inner balance that I’ve craved for.

The best part is that there’s a mix of (extremely) advanced students as well as beginners in my class, but yoga has taught us that every one of us has our unique talents and that it’s okay to progress differently than others. So if you've always been keen to try out yoga but you’re afraid that you’ll have to be super bendy to join in, don't be! It's for everyone of any age, and the most important thing is to go about it at your own pace and to keep practicing. All in all, yoga has been the one outlet for me to keep fit (and sane) during these trying times ✨
