Eating disorders can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, body size, or background. Early identification can make a significant difference in recovery and overall well-being.

You can have a confidential screening on Campus at the Counseling Center on Oct 27th between 11:00-1:00 pm

Consider a screening if you notice:
• Preoccupation with food, weight, or body image
 • Skipping meals or restrictive eating patterns
 • Binge eating episodes
 • Excessive exercise to "earn" or compensate for food
 • Anxiety, guilt, or shame around eating

A screening is not a diagnosis, but it can help determine whether additional support may be beneficial.

Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Decide today you will care for your health. by @batten.cares

From mental health to physical health and overall well being, we are here to support you every single step of the way.

By the way, our counseling and health services are still absolutely free, require no insurance, and have no limit to how often you recieve services throughout the sessions.

The counseling center in Batten Student Center is open Mon-Fri 8:30 am - 4:30pm, even in the summer! And the Sentara Student Health Clinic in Allen Village will be open in August once Fall session starts, Mon - Fri 10 am - 2 pm.
