‘signals of death’ 💀🌳- original digital oil painting + the skull painting I created which inspired me to create the final piece😊
12 hours total

Slide 1- full drawing
Slide 2- painting Timelapse
Slide 3- skull drawing
Slide 4- skull Timelapse

This drawing took longer than I expected solely due to the amount of detail I kept trying to include. My reference images were very limited—so at a certain point I had to rely solely on on my own skills to complete this one. All in all, I’m very proud and excited to share this new piece!
I think I’m obsessed with creating these one of a kind paintings— and now I’m kinda over drawing references to a T🤯
Please feel free to share your thoughts below 👇🏻🥹

as usual, these were drawn on my iPad with Adobe fresco
using the live oil brush along with a few other free available brushes in the app 😊

My drawing of @markiplier in ‘Iron Lung’⚠️
Swipe for the Timelapse! ➡️👉🏻👉🏻👉🏻

Mark has been my favourite YouTuber for as long as I can remember. Thank you @markiplier for the amazing movie that was iron lung!

“I just wanna live”

I’m actually quite proud of this one! I think I captured his likeness quite well and it’s definitely one of my favourite portraits I’ve finished to date! I tried to make it look as close to a picture as possible while still maintaining a few visible brushstrokes. Lmk what you think of this drawing!

‘I don’t think I wanna change, I like it in here.’ — my digital oil painting inspired by the ‘Backrooms’ movie!

3 paintings in one!

This movie scratched an itch I had for a new concept in psychological horror. I won’t lie, the bar for horror movies for me for the past few years has been in the equivalent of hell. I wasn’t sure what direction the director would take with this movie, but I had faith given the amazing series @kanepixels created pre-establishing the backrooms lore before the movie’s release. I’m so glad I went to see this movie, and I recommend you see it too!
10/10 I can’t wait for the next movie

Slide 1 - Full Painting
Slide 2 - Full Timelapse
Slide 3 - Close-up of Clark’s wife’s still life
Slide 4 - Close-up of Captain Clark still life
—
SPOILERS:
With this new piece, I wanted to highlight Clark’s character flaws and his refusal to acknowledge them by literally putting them behind him.
His ex wife is meant to symbolize his past, and I chose to draw the still-life version of her since his own recollection of his marriage is highly warped in favour of himself.
I also included captain Clark since he’s the literal manifestation of his repressed abusive nature, failures, out of control rage, and looming of the darkness within himself.
Clark’s death was ultimately due to his refusal to grow and change as a person. This piece is meant to highlight how ignoring your problems, and refusing to acknowledge your own flaws will always be creeping up behind you.

I’d like to thank @kanepixels as well as the amazing @chiwetelejiofor__ for creating such a cinematic masterpiece that inspired me to create my own artwork🫶🏻

Leon S. Kennedy - digital oil painting 🧟‍♀️

I loveeeee resident evil more than I can put into words so this one was a very special one for me!
I decided to try and one-up myself on detail—I added pores and more skin details— and I think it paid off!
Leon is definitely one of my favourite resident evil characters and I really enjoyed painting his character!
At first I had just drawn older Leon, but I thought it might be nice to see the differences he experienced with time 🫶🏻
I tried to capture the innocence from Leon’s beginning within resident evil shining behind the hard exterior shell of his older self.
Do you think this is an improvement from my last piece?.. 🤔 lmk!
I really hope you think I did Leon justice!

Slide 1: full drawing
Slides 2-4: close-ups
Slide 5: Timelapse
(I ended up reposting the speed draw again separately bc Instagram cut off the last few seconds on the post but you can find the whole timelapse in my reels 🫶🏻)

‘We all have our loops.’ — my digital oil painting of @renatereinsve in the @backroomsmovie
Tag @renatereinsve and @kanepixels so they might see it!
This drawing is meant to reflect the thoughts emotions of Mary’s character throughout the movie. I included my take on her still life, because it was a perfect representation of her past and suppressed trauma due to isolation and unaddressed sadness.

Also wishing a happy birthday to @kanepixels

1st slide — Painting
2nd slide— Full Timelapse

Once again, this is me praising how much I love the backrooms. I thought @renatereinsve did an amazing job as Mary in ´the backrooms’, and I hope this is a good enough tribute to her performance! I really hope you all love this new painting! 🫶🏻

Tbh I had higher hopes for this piece. The program I use to draw on my iPad was repeatedly crashing towards the end of the drawing, and to preserve my sanity I chose to leave it as it was.
Since deleting a few pieces I’ve done from the program, I have now been able to fix some of the lag. pieces will definitely be a bit more up to par for my work in the future since this issue is mostly fixed.

Also the backrooms fan art will be taking a break for a while, so we’ll be back to scheduled programming (original paintings, other fan art) 🫶🏻

‘wings of deceit’ ☠️ - original digital oil painting
Swipe for Timelapse! 👉🏻👉🏻

This might just be the coolest painting I’ve finished yet! Unfortunately as always Instagram turned down my quality so to see more detail of this you’d have to look in my reels.
I got inspired by two photos I saw on Pinterest— and in the spirit of my childhood photo editing days I imagined how they’d look together to create something unique. I’m very happy with how this one turned out! Lmk what you think!

‘oculus tenebrarum’ 🦉👁️🌑 - original digital oil painting
Swipe for Timelapse and a close-up from within my drawing app 👉🏻
(zoom in to see more detail since instagram once again ruined the quality and it’s missing so much detail😭)

helloooo everybody 🫶🏻 today I’ve finished one of the many projects I’ve had on the go and I’m so excited to share it with you! ‘Oculus tenebrarum’ (eye of the darkness in Latin) is complete 🥹🙏
This was one of the fastest yet most pride inducing drawings that I’ve done yet! I Hope you all love this concept I created as much as I do. It was really so much fun thinking this idea up and I’m so glad it came out exactly as I had envisioned it!
What does this one make you think of? 💭

This took around three-four hours to finish
(I’m definitely getting faster!)

Side note: if you’re curious as to why the owl drawing just appears— the initial sketch was done on a separate canvas and I ended up losing the entire Timelapse for the beginning of the owl. I’m a bit irritated about it, but I’ll just refrain from drawing things on separate canvases for future projects so I don’t have to worry about it again 😭

´Daito’ - my digital oil painting of Michonne from TWD! ⚔️
Swipe for my Timelapse! ➡️

Although this show has been over for quite some time, I just took the time to start rewatching it again. No matter how many times I’ve seen this show, I absolutely love Danai Gurira in her portrayal as Michonne. I really hope I’ve done both the character and phenomenal actress justice with this one!
Michonne is definitely one of my favourite characters from the series!
If you haven’t seen this banger of a tv show yet I recommend taking the time to watch it!
What do you all think of this new painting? 😛🫶🏻

Just clownin’ around 🤡 — original painting + animation of my OC
Swipe for animation ➡️ … (wait for it)
I made this OC originally as an sfx makeup look for my halloween costume last year, and thought it might be fun to bring back to life in my paintings as well.
So I guess in a way this is a self portrait:)

This one only took me two hours and a half in total, hence it’s lack of detail as opposed to my other pieces. this one was more so just for fun, but I still really hope you all like it! 🫶🏻

‘mulier taceat de muliere‘ — original digital oil painting
Swipe for the animation 🍃➡️

(Painting name is Latin)

This may not be my most detailed or developed painting, but this one came from my heart❤️

I created this piece as symbolism for the systemic and domestic oppression of women throughout history, and how that’s persisted throughout time. (Hence the statue covered in overgrowth transitioning into pixels.

Before i explain further, comment what you think this painting symbolizes (I’m curious!)

Let’s break down my thoughts:

- The thorns:
the throrns are wrapped around the statue’s neck are meant as a literal representation of restriction to women’s speech. They would physically hurt her if she had tried. Throughout history, women have always (and in some places more than others) been marginalized and silenced. This is my own interpretation of that phenomenon.

- The pixels & statue:
The statue is meant as a visual metaphor for a woman and how this treatment of women has sustained itself since ancient times into todays digital age
In today’s first world, women are still disproportionately more subjected to violence. With technology, it’s a whole new game. women are being stripped of bodily autonomy, and women bodies are being digitized, along with other elements of online abuse.

- Why the moth?:
Moths are commonly seen as symbols of transformation. Moths begin as caterpillars and have a rather awful seeming experience inside the cocoon.I wanted to use it to metaphor the idea that after periods of long isolation, and complete breakdowns there us still room for a beautiful change. I tried to make it look as though it was emerging from the pixelated background. For me, the moth was meant to be the manifestation of her voice and liberation.

I typically don’t break my paintings down like this, i like to leave them up for viewer’s interpretation. However this one was an important piece for me in terms of opening a discussion, and assuring the main point of the piece to go over everybody’s heads since it is rather implicit.

What are your thoughts on this piece?
