The last week in Breck sharing my favorite season, mountain spaces and joy with my favorite little human by @bay1808
Before cancer death felt distant. Someday, long from now. After cancer, it feels closer than it ever should. Even with remission or a good prognosis, awareness of life’s fragility is real. You hear, “we all die someday,” but the point is missed because you experienced its proximity. It’s not moments of panic or fear but a quiet awareness that sits alongside you. Time is measured differently, plans, movement through the world. Everything can change quickly, you hold tighter, notice more, keep moving because there’s a gentle knowing everything beautiful is temporary, nothing is perfect, nothing is ever complete. Accepting a reality instead of fighting it. Loving it more because it’s not meant to last. by @bay1808

And just like that another trip around the sun ✨Happy Birthday E ✨ May your curiosity never fade, your kindness and empathy continue to grow and your seeking of adventure remain unbound as the years go on. Always knowing I’m eternally grateful and proud to be your mama by @bay1808
Did a thing. . . by @bay1808
A little over 2 weeks ago, I picked up the phone to the call you hope to never get in your life, where the person on the other end says, “I’m sorry you have cancer.” Specifically triple negative breast cancer, with no family history or gene mutations. There are really no words to describe the whirlwind that follows. What I can say is I am truly lucky for the love and support that surrounds me. Anyone that knows me well, knows how fiercely stubborn I am and how that will serve me well in the year to come. Thank you to all of you who have been with me already from every test, appointment, twist and turn, as all the pieces got fit together, with small wins, tears and laughter. Cheers to being a breast cancer survivor 🎀 #triplenegativebreastcancer #breastcancerfighter #breastcancersupport #breastcancerwarrior #tnbc #tnbcwarrior #singlemom #breastcancer #breastcancerawareness Link in Bio! by @bay1808

An unbound journey exists in adventures unknown and territories unseen by @bay1808
On October 3rd my newest adventure started 9 weeks early. . . I have never known any greater joy, the pure definition of unconditional love, while simultaneously facing one of the hardest events of my life. I can not thank the NICU enough for what they have done over the course of almost a month. They have not only healed and nurtured this tiny soul but also have tended to my own. The strength I’ve seen in such a new being inspires me continuously. I can’t believe I get to call you mine. Welcome to this side of the universe, may it be full of every wonder you were in such a rush to get here to find, my little one. We can not wait to have you home! Meet Enzo❤️ by @bay1808
