"The Writing On The Wall Global Magazine Issue 3" by Renee Drummond Brown. Available on Amazon. This work of art displays poetic works from around the globe.
I am honored and elated to be selected as the featured poet of this global magazine. I'm from East Oakland Ca. From a community called Brookfield Village. When I was young I was told I wouldn't amount to anything, but maybe a jail cell. I never seen one of those.
My writing was born out of pain. I have been rejected and turned away on many levels. God has given me a spirit to never quit. The odds were always against me. My mother died of breast cancer when I was 8 yrs old. I had a brother to commit suicide and my nephew was killed right next to my birth home. There's a lot more tragedy; Enough to make a person definitely give up. I never gave up, and writing was one of my outlets.
So that being said, this feature is special to me. Caption this, I'm just getting started.
I'm Author Eric Bruce Smith and I understand perseverance.
