Playing a folky set as Patient Whales at @piquesandvalleys in Dundas on Saturday (Sept. 26) with the excellent @adavidmackinnon, but at least one song is getting the Minichord treatment @benjaminpoilve (not to mention some Microcosm and Onward)

Had some fun borrowing a friend's Minichord. Turns out it's much more powerful and capable than I initially expected!

Full video on YouTube and more to come!

Ever seen a naked KO II? Borrowed one from a friend to see if I'd want my own, but the fader was a bit wonky, so I tried to fix it and made it worse. Oops (new fader on the way)

Still fun though!

Been having fun using my fingers as patch cables via Goldfinger, a touch-based matrix mixer. Makes things feel a bit more human and performative.

In this case I'm able to mute, speed up or glitch out the voices on the Pluto depending on where I put my hand.

Been on a bit of a sampler/looper kick lately, so it's fitting that I stumbled across this old #microcassette recorder in a box on the street. A few minor repairs later and let's see what we can do with it taken in Hamilton, Ontario by @bay_mud

I've been having fun exploring the Degenerator program card for the Workshop System, which allows for a destructive, disintegrating loop workflow that mimics tape degradation. Very inspiring for evolving, gritty textures and experiments

Lots of fun playing the MOSS-101 with a MIDI guitar pickup (and layering via Spotykach).

I wish more devices had built-in USB MIDI host ports

Using Spotykach to turn some more traditional sounding guitar and piano into granular constellations. Maybe the basis of a new live set/release?
