@emma_kalfus never set out to work in fashion. Growing up in Adelaide, she always loved it, but an early role at InStyle changed the course of things. She spent years immersed in the world of fashion publishing, developing an instinct for the details that make an image, story or look work.⁠

Today, that instinct moves between styling, creative consulting and @side__note, the independent magazine she founded. Alongside raising two children with her husband in North Bondi, she's also recently completed a renovation of her own home.
